The girl talking couldn't of made herself sound anymore fake about her thoughts of the Phantom's Revenge. The Phantom's Revenge is a great coaster, but why did they pick someone who sounds like she was acting when she said how she loved it?

The Steel Phantom wasnt taken down for injuries per say, it was just a little too rough for comfort. For instance, you were required to take off your earings before you rode due to the excessive head banging.

Guess now I can say I'm old since I rode the Steel Phantom. Back when it had loops. I actually love the Phantom's Revenge. And the Thunderbolt.

I plan to go to Kennywood one day. It’s a nearly 6-hour long drive from my hometown in NJ, but it’ll be worth the drive tho. You can guarantee that one of the coasters I plan to ride will without a doubt be Phantom’s Revenge. I haven’t been able to ride the original Steel Phantom since I was only 2 years old when it closed in 2000, but I am sure Phantom’s Revenge will be hella fun to ride!

I went on PR five times in one day when I was at Kennywood, it's my number steelie and favourite coaster right now. When I get back there, I'm taking my brother this time, and show him why I love the middle seat on this coaster. :)

"Out-and-back" doesn't refer to the amount of inversions. It means that the coaster travels "out" in a line, turns around, and goes "back" through another line. This is contrasted with a "twister" layout where the track is pretty much a tangled mess. Plenty of out-and-back coasters have inversions, like Batman: The Dark Knight at Six Flags New England (a double out-and-back coaster) and the defunct Time Machine at Freestyle Music Park.

+Valerie Blair That's my point. "Out and back" just means the general shape of the ride, not what happens during the ride. Tbh, I think calling Wicked an out and back is kind of a stretch. It's really more of a twister.

I think they should've kept the inversions and made them bigger in order to smooth it out, I never rode the Steel Phantom but I've ridden the Phantom's Revenge and I think it's kind of boring.

The park didn't get rid of the Arrow Dynamics track in the beginning of the ride after the lift hill before the second drop. And later it was replaced and we now see that almost the entire ride is now Morgan track. Why is that?

CREEPERZX1 gaming is OP no I meant the track on the first drop and up the second hill before the second drop. It was all Arrow Dynamics track before Morgan track replaced those sections.

A.R Coaster Guy well first of all that's not why they took it down. It was because it was rough, rougher than most arrow dynamics coasters because it was so fast.

1 reason. Money. Nothing bad about it; Kennywood was just a small family owned park back in the 90’s and 2000’s.

Actually the original layout was supposed to have an underground tunnel, the phantom was supposed to surface on the midway but kennywood ran out of money and instead they altered the design to have it come up and go around the turtle. A few years after it was built, they made a concrete tunnel like structure around the phantom where it goes under the thunderbolt the second time.

Aww those loops on the Steel Phantom look sexy. I grew up at Kennywood watching the navy blue trains fly through them, but I was still at an age where I was too nervous to ride, and I kick myself day in and day out for it. The Phantom's Revenge is AMAZING, and it is one of my favorite coasters, but I'd give anything for one ride on the original.

I really don't know, but I got off with a very bad headache from it jerking me around. I guess that's why they call it Wildcat. Lightning Racer is a little rough, but not that bad. Comet is the best wooden roller coaster at Hershey.

Steel Phantom always gave me a headache... it was so jerky and uncomfortable. And they took out the loops because it got stuck upside down on the loops and corkscrews.

I've been on the phantoms revenge many times and after you go to cedar point it feels like the phantoms revenge should be in kiddie land. It is really slow. The new ride is going to be slow too.

I liked this ride a lot better when it was the "steel phantom" and it had loops and corkscrews in it. When they took those out I was disappointed.

Charles 91771 the Phantoms Revenge is a world class ride. I do agree that they should build a ride with the same elements as the Steel Phantom, maybe in that ravine behind the Jack rabbit and Racer. Plus with the new rides the inversions wouldn't be rough.

That is the best ride ever. I go there about 5 times evry summer, and ride that like 10 times each day. But God!!! The girl in that video should've jumped off the ride, she wouldn't shut the hell up!!! I hope she reads this and learns to shut up. But otherwise, sweet video.

Loops are actually what make the ride more exciting & intense! If some riders have weak stomachs doesn't mean thrill seekers who can handle these rides have to suffer cos some idiots have motion sickness! It's not their fault that some wimps can't handle the intensity! If they're going to bitch about motion sickness, then don't ride! Simples! Nobody's asking them to ride! It's actually these whingeing riders faults that unique coasters get torn down/refurbished today! It also varies from rider to rider based on motion sickness! If they complain about loops giving riders motion sickness then why do coasters today still get loops installed? Makes no sense! And who says riders would get less motion sickness without the loops in anyway? For all they know it might've made it worse!
