Norbert because he's OG and his voice is just the epitome of the masculinity of Fiyero. Aaron, Derek, and Jonah because their voices were full and it didn't sound like they were suffering to hit the high notes. It was anticlimactic to hear that part sung in the key that they weren't supposed to be sung in. Shoutout to Rachel Tucker cause she probably has one of the best reactions I've watched while that part is being sung. Some Elphabas look like statues.

I find it interesting the most of them really power through "it's up that I fell" and sound great, but far too many of them are either just under pitch or outright flat on the word "fallen". Aaron Tveit's use of his vibrato on the word "fallen" is so smooth and pure - it really works the best for me in this context.

Decided to make my list based on some of the guys not really mentioned In he comments that I think so great things here: -0:50 Derrick Williams (I like the the vowel noises he uses on spell and fell here. Granted the recording isn’t good, but I still love it. He leaves in the e vowel sound and it might sound nasally to some, but I really like it here. It’s different, which always grabs my attention.) -2:35 Mark Evans (he descends into the section here, starting “somehow” higher. Oliver Thompsett does this too and I love the liberty they both take here) -7:45 Matt Willis (I love, love, love the way he softens “fallen” here. A lot of guys mix or belt this part but by making it softer, it brings something else to the A4 “up” that I fell.) - 8:15 Ben Freeman (his placement sits a bit further back than other guys here and I love it. It gives us that kinda mysterious, sensual masculine vibe to Fieyro.) - 11:46 Matthew Croke (one of the west end guys here that does a great job with the power and technique. When he hits that A4 you can hear there isn’t much strain)

Not in order but.. Norbert Leo is just a solid Fiyero right into your ears. Something you will always want to hear :) Guilty! That was the first time I've hear Aaron Tveit as Fiyero and DAMMMNNNNN. Now I need to see him lol I've seen Kyle Dean Massey and his Fiyero will always be memorable. And I will always love his chemistry with Donna Vivino on that number. Such a sweet, longing attraction between them that it will make you feel jealous lol. Derek Klena has this ultimate serenade voice. Just swoon! I want to see Jonah Platt's Fiyero!
