Jack, I must tell you how much I enjoy your podcast Ghosts & Grit and your revisiting your old episodes with Katrina are definitely the cream of the crop. The two of you have such brilliant rapport and I usually watch your episodes with a smile on my face. It is such a pity that Portals has been finished. It was one of the few paranormal shows that was actually legitimate. (The others of course being Kindred Spirits, Dead Files, Holzer Files, Ghosts of ….. & Paranormal Lockdown). You guys should really think about doing a version on KZbin and then you get to edit how you want to - or you go to another channel and request more freedom. You would be amazed at how many of us would support you and maybe another network would pick you up or the old one would see sense. Again, love your work Lilly

My daughter and I listen to this podcast while we are working at our bakery. I love that you and Katrina talk about not watching ghost hunting shows since you ghost hunt for a “living”. I understand getting self conscious and critique the show you are watching and yourselves. I totally get that. Since I am a baker and cake artist, I don’t like watching baking shows on tv unless it features certain celebrity cake artists. And then most of the time I don’t watch every show they are in either. I avoid these shows because it gets me self conscious as well. I either critique myself or the cake artist on the show. My daughter likes to watch these kinds of shows. It doesn’t affect her like it’s does me! Lol Anyway, we love your podcast. We miss Portals to Hell. We miss seeing you and Katrina ghost hunting. We try to catch all of your shows. We watch all of the Osbournes KZbin videos and have been big fans of your family since the tv show back in to 2000’s. I have been an ozzy fan since I was a teenager in the 80’s! Keep producing spooky fun content!

@@a.perkins89 agree. I'm a paranormal nut, I've watched every paranormal show that was on T.V. 😅 There is a bunch I liked. Of course I have my favorites, especially Adam and Amy. Did you ever watch Haunted Highway with Jack and Jael? Wasn't that exciting , but I liked it. Btw, I've had paranormal experiences my whole life. I live on old Native American land. I live in NC, 3 1/2 from Cherokee . We farmed and have found many arrowheads, old pottery...even a WHOLE vase we dug up out of creek. It's a clay vase. Anyway, 2021 was my last huge experience. You wouldn't believe me if I told ya 😅 I saw what ppl would consider to be a skinwalker. I saw a huge black dog, I was whistling for it lol... thought it was lost or sumn. It literally walked along the edge of yard, just few step and started morphing in different shapes. I yelled for Brian, it came bk down into a dog (was huge btw) turned around took a couple steps and disappeared. True Story. It was in March during that full pink moon. I have so many stories!!! Also, my family has lived on this land over 100 yrs and my grandmother had shared some. I never met her or my paternal grandfather ( who I saw at age 5) but daddy had told me, he had a sixth sense as I do. I'm definitely an empath!! I shut up now.

On the topic of golden girls and networks.. just like in the world of music, we used to have old guys who had no idea about music, they would just put stuff out and see what landed. They were good at dropping what didnt work, and trying stuff out. Now we have tastemakers. People who think they know what will sell before its on the market. Something i learned when trying to sell products is you dont try to guess. The question is "will this sell?" And you must answer "I don't know but I can find out" so you can either try to sell something, and see if it lands, or you can see where the success already is, out that product in front of the same eyes, and try to rake in as many buyers as possible..and for the format, copy copy copy. Art is courageous, untraveled waters. Most if not all networks are not interested in art. They are running a business. So see what already sold, find its market or "demo" copy copy copy.

I just want to say I loved watching Paranormal State, it was my first show that got me into watching paranormal shows, with that being said, over the years, seeing other shows, I’ve learned to weed out what I believe to be real and false. There are psychics and investigators I trust, and you two are part of the very few. Cindy Kaza and Michelle I believe are genuine as well. I read Ryan’s book after paranormal state and that’s one of the very few books I quit reading mid read. This was before the drama went down with him, but I felt he was very narcissistic and it was all about him. That’s when I got leery about who I put my trust in paranormal wise. Thanks for being genuine, I absolutely love this podcast! ❤️ btw, I’m near Cincinnati, I get excited when ya’ll talk about Ohio! 😂

But it’s DIRECTLY across the street, from the Mound, Native American burial mound called grave creek mound. The pens already known to be haunted due to so many infamous inmates, so many horror stories . The entrance into the inside to go into the yard, you pass under the platform they used to hang people. I just wanted to comment on the change in tv and streaming changes. I feel the same is being felt about self publishing of books and literature. The writers are coming out from under publishers expectations. I love reading a great story and I really don’t read a book and see the grammar issues. I am a teacher and I get the issue. However I will say when we want entertainment we don’t look at the issues. I can also say when I read I will correct it in my head and stay with the story. I am just so glad creativity liberties are being let out.
