This program is called sound of my dreams and the songs performed are all rearranged, this song in particular was a song very popular in the 90s. JJ Lin’s dream is to bring Mandarin pop internationally for more people to understand Chinese music and culture. In fact he is working some big names in the music industry right now, people like David Foster, Richard Furch, Troy Laureta, even Hans Zimmer wrote a overture for his concert world tour.

Thanks for reacting to JJ Lin man! Some context here, basically, he, as one of the judges, was singing another singer's song, which i think was picked by a contestant who sang before him. The narrative was that the dude had around less than a few hours to come up with this version of the song by himself, before he was to perform on stage. He's already done this quite a few times, and every time he sings another singer's song, in my opinion he nails it and makes it better than the original one. Mad respect for JJ Lin.

In this singing competition, he is one of the "teachers" where the competitors will compete with the them (4 of them) and a panel of judges will judge who sang it better. The power of JJ lin, he is able to change the tune and rhythm of the song fast and sang it differently from the original singer. Those guys sitting on the enormous chairs are famous singers too. There are more songs during this competition that he sang very well. Proud to be a Singaporean 😊 thanks!

Yes, I second JJ Lin's 输了你赢了世界又如何。Its perform at a different week of the same show "Sound of my dreams" btw Vevo X23 is a mobile brand which is a major sponsor. Those on "the voice" style seats are all professional singers including JJ Lin and they are challenged by contestants. The contestant will then sing the song of the singer they challenge while the singers are given a few songs on the spot to choose and 3 hours to prep the song. Many of these old song from 90s and early 2000 are brilliantly redone and performed especially by JJ Lin.

Hi I’ve just seen this reaction of yours. For info, this song sung by Jj Lin has a rule imposed on it and it’s called ‘brokenness’. It was up to JJ Lin to determine how to interpret /incorporate this rule into his singing. And he did it so well that his other comrades (the guy and the gal) were just bowled over. Also, the song title may be more appropriately called ‘Realization’ - as in ‘becoming fully aware of something as a fact’. This is a song about realizing the state of his/her lover’s love condition ( which is indifferent yet hapless).

This was the ‘Sound of My Dreams’ series, where JJ was invited to be a judge/trainer. So the contestant will choose a trainer among the judges... and end with a challenge for the judges to perform a cover. That female Judge was Jane Zhang, check out her wipeout of John Legend's song "ALL OF ME" so good he invited her to America to sing in his concert!! Se also sings Minnie Ripperton's Lovin' You and that is where she got the nickname The Dolphin Princess. She does The Diva Dance from the 5th Element movie and she sings Ariana and Mikki's "Bang Bang" all by herself!! J J is fantastic, never a disappointment!! Also, check "So Hyang" her "LEAN ON ME" with Michael Bolton watching her. She also sings "BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER" and "ARIRANG ALONE" she is the female counterpart to "DIMASH" who you should know by now!! Enjoy
