Take a closer look at how PHARLIGHT works to create granular textures, leads, pads, and atmospheres with a human vocal timbre. Explore the instrument's extensive sound palette, and get an idea of how different aspects of its unique character can be used across a huge range of genres and styles.
PHARLIGHT is a voice-based granular instrument for creating unique, melodic timbres, textures, leads, and pads - for artists, sound designers, composers, and musicians. Its sample library is the result of extensive research into human vocal sounds that produce idiosyncratic timbres when paired with its powerful granular engine.

Hey if a video game cost millions to develop like 10 - 50- up to in the 100 of millions some take up to 5 years in development hundreds of employees and it comes at 150$ tax included for full edition why does this cost 199.99?? the time and cost to develop is 2 times more then a video game?

It would be good to be able to automate the XY pad in these instruments. In the "AUTO" menu within the instrument, pretty much everything is listed for automation, but the XY pad. Though in this video they have done it. So the XY automation controls must be named something else in the "AUTO" list. I really wish stuff like this was in the manual.

I'm having terrible CPU clipping problems with Pharlight particularly when playing chords. I'm working on a mac 2.9 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i9 with 32 G Ram. It seems Pharlight does not multi-thread and takes all its processing power from one thread that peaks and makes a nasty clipping sound after play a few keys. This of course is not acceptable! I've reinstalled three times now but to no avail. Please let me know if there's a solution. Thanks!

I work at a very low latency level (my partner is a classical pianist) with a buffer at 64 in Logic which was the problem. Once I changed that to 512....the spiking was no more. I do get keyboard latency but use the low latency mode when recording so all good. Pharlight is an amazing instrument which I would highly recommend though I have to say NI support is almost non-existent. They've not responded to any of my emails. That's very disappointing.
@frankelting
@frankelting 4 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear that. Kontakt is optimised for latencies of 256 samples and higher. Multiprocessor distribution works with Pharlight, but you have to set a higher latency to get a decent performance out of Kontakt.
@joelaplaca1546
@joelaplaca1546 4 жыл бұрын
@@frankelting Thanks for responding Frank. Yes, I've increased the buffer from 64 to 512 and it seems to be working better. I had the buffer so low because my partner is a concert pianist who can detect the slightest bit of latency. We've resolved that by using low latency mode when recording (disables plug ins) and it works great. I work in Logic so if there any other settings that would help optimise performance in Kontakt (which I use extensively) I'd greatly appreciate your suggestions.

Frank Elting Thanks. I just wasn’t ready to upgrade to the full Kontakt 6 until I get ready to upgrade my komplete in the near future (save money). But whenever I download Kontakt player 6 it overrides full version of 5 and I lose some of my sounds due to it going into “demo mode.” But I realized it’s because I have “always use newest version of plugin” checked. Gonna try without that later and I believe I should be good to go.
