The quiz on your website for this is wrong! On the NAPLEX, you must keep the numbers in the calculator. The quiz is using significant figures, which isn’t really clinically applicable.

How to prepare 12.5%of dextrose from 10% & 50% of dextrose having a total volume of 144ml

This is alligation. 50% - 12.5% = 37.5 parts. 12.5% - 10% = 2.5 parts. 2.5 parts + 37.5 parts = 40 2.5 / 40 * 144mL = 9mL 50% dextrose 37.5 / 40 * 144mL = 135mL 10% dextrose.
