Pharmacological & Therapeutic Effects of Anu Taila, Session - 21

Anu Taila is a traditional Ayurvedic medicine commonly used for Nasya Karma (Nasal Insufflation) for various disorders of the head, eyes, nose, ears, throat and hair. It contains more than 25 herbs and goat milk as per the Ayurvedic Formulary of India. Anu Taila strengthens the neck, shoulder, and chest muscles and improves the capacity of sense organs. It delays the aging process and reduces hair fall. Anu Taila is also prescribed for several conditions of head and neck such as Manya Stambha (#torticolis), #Shirahshula (#headache), #Ardita (facial paralysis), Hanu Sangraha (lock jaw), Ardhavabhedaka (#Migraine), Shirah-kampa (#head #tremor).

In one clinical study Anu taila was found effective in mucormycosis by regulating host TNF-α response and fungal ergosterol biosynthesis. In another study Anutaila-Marsha-Nasya, indicated in Khalitya (androgenic Alopecia) had been done followed by Narasimha Rasayana internally. Significant improvement was seen in both subjective and objective parameters at the end of follow-up period.
