Do you recommend reaching out to professors to try to participate in research projects? How important are research projects if you’re interested in doing either a residency after graduation or just going straight to work?

Thanks for stopping by! I love hearing that my videos have helped you on your journey. Research projects can be of benefit to your residency application for sure but keep in mind research can also look like a study including actual patients in a clinic. It doesn’t have to be wet lab research with chemicals and beakers. All in all if you have a passion for research definitely reach out to professors to ask. If they aren’t doing something of interest they can point you in the right direction with other professors who are.
