One of the best shows I’ve ever seen was early 2000’s, Pharoah with the McCoy Tyner trio and Ravi Coltrane. All Coltrane, all night. A spiritual experience for sure.

Thanks for posting this...LOVE Pharoah Sanders. Many many years ago 'The Creator Has A Master Plan' changed my life. Always played that when we were all hanging out, partying, at our studio (I'm a visual artist) ...very inspiring and spiritual and sensual music. Thanks Pharoah! He played with Alice Coltrane later - have all her excellent albums.

@@SamoSalamonMusic Another of my all time fave albums is Carlos Santana's 'Welcome' - - Leon Thomas, vocalist from Sander's 'Karma' (inc. The Creator has a Master Plan) is on it; Alice Coltrane is an arranger on it; They cover a John Coltrane piece; lots of jazz musicians play on it; Flora Purim sings. Awesome album, very Latin-Jazzy. A classic. Still play it regularly ....since the 70s! !

I used to see and hear Giuseppi Logan in Thompkins Square Park, New York City, for years with no idea who he was. By the time I 'discovered' him, he had passed away. I read Sonny Simmons was in the same situation, out on the pavement, playing for the people, really. Never take a street musician for granted.
