Cant wait for that one. That record holds up today. Scream Phoenix and Straight off the DIC still get mad run and bumps in the whip. That whole album was EL-Ps best beats.

Clark Townsend It’s a top 5 album all time imo. El killed the production, Vast and Mega destroyed their rhymes. For me, Pigeon and Raspberry Fields, along with the obvious Iron Galaxy and Ox out of the Cage are still in heavy rotation.

I feel the same way with Binary Star’s [Masters of the Universe] and Masta Ace’s Disposable Arts. There’s so many underground albums that they’ve yet to touch on in most of these classic reviews. I wouldn’t mind them doing Backpack Classics just like on Myke’s Channel.

@@alexbraun3595 I remember a while back they reviewed God Loves Ugly and 3/4 couldn't clearly define it as a classic and the host, at the time, didn't even bother to listen to the full project. I understand why they don't review those projects, outside of Myke, just cause that stuff isn't their forte. Personally I want to hear all their opinions on some old Def Jux, Rhymesayers, etc. stuff

Aaron Hooper I remember watching that review when it first came out. I also remember B did a solo review on the Binary Star EP and he went on record saying [Masters of the Universe] is a classic. Everyone has their own idea on what makes an album a classic. I 100% agree with you though on them not reviewing any Def Jux albums yet.

Internal Affairs is without a doubt a perfect album. Spectacular lyrics, superb production, even flow from beginning to end. It was the best album of ‘99 and probably THE most underrated LP in hip hop history.

Classic album that I regret not buying on CD years ago despite having limitless opportunities to buy it. Then it was discontinued because of the Godzilla sample. Took me some time to find a decent used copy. I met Pharoahe in 2011 and asked him if he was ever going to reissue the album and he said that he was trying but the Godzilla sample controversy was halting it.

This video showed these dude have no clue about real hip hop or underground hip hop, or maybe they are just young. I said the same thing, and to say this blew up Rakus is ridiculous! They had sound bombing, lyricist lounge, the blackstar album, company flow, and mos def. Also I’m pretty sure that either mos or kweli album where the most successful commercial album Rawkus has that wasn’t a mixtape
