Does Jean-Marc still light phase 11 on fire every year? We were smoked out of our house as the fire came within 20 meters and house was covered in ash.

We’re looking for something away from the beach to avoid the heat and humidity. We’re wanting privacy from neighbors. A 1600-1800 sq ft house on property so we can garden and have a few fruit trees. A 2-3 bedroom and 2-3 bath. We’ve got a maximum budget of $400K US dollars. We Must have security or be in an area with NO CRIME, or I will smuggle in my side arm to defend ourselves !

someone just mentioned that there's much crime in the area? it's new to me.. I heard the opposite, what's the truth? Also, how about the fire? who's doing it, is it on purpose? does it get brown /dry during the high season? much to take to consideration

There is some opportunistic petty theft, as is anywhere in the world. But Costa Rica is very safe compared to other parts of the world.

There is some opportunistic petty theft, as is anywhere in the world. But Costa Rica is very safe compared to other parts of the world. This area does not get brown or completely dry in the high season. We have a lot of water in this highly forested area
