1.Compare the gear as a SET. 2.display what gear do you want to use Boss by Boss 3. Also share your raid composition and group composition 4. Share your tank responsibility MT/OT etc. 5. Show different gear set during first clear VS Farming I believe these tips would make a great Prot pala Video( I cant make good video as you do so good luck)

Been tanking for the duration of tbc and tbh I agree with most of what u said. The there is no perfect set is 100% Tru. Have alot of ppl complaining about stuff like: why roll for that piece with spellwpower if u have uncrush set already. Most ppl need to know that tanking from boss to boss is different and it's same with the trash. Great video

Having that really chunky stuff is kind of unnecessary though. At least at this point in the game. You basically need the bare minimum to be uncrittable/uncrushable and put the rest into spell power. If you want beefier pieces just get a second piece of tier and use defensive enchants/stam gems etc. Druids and Warriors tend to tank the heavy damage bosses anyway

I've always warrior tanked, but just recently moved into the Pallie tank for classic BC. Now that it's coming to an end, I hope we'll be seeing some Wrath vids. I should be set go go into Wrath with the bare min. of gear. Heroics, and maybe a Kara run or two.

I originally planned to pass it to some casters, but seeing how rare the sword is (we've seen zero) and it being our game BiS the warlocks have offered me the next one.

As DPS get geared up in the next phase, do you think it's worth giving your Prot Pals a spot in the EleSham group for buffs? 3-4% spell hit, 100sp, 3% spell crit seems like a pretty large boost to threat at the cost of a DPS having to hold back.

Getting yourself into any sort of group that can supply reliable threat increases is going to be good. The bonus of being a Paladin tank if we can get threat increases from being in the mage group, the warlock group, or a windfury group, esp if you have 2 melee groups with windfury. Allows you to drop Sanc Aura and pickup 15% extra holy damage which is what I'm going to be pushing for next phase.

@@DevTanks Where exactl y do you get the 15% holy damage from? Looking at the talent tree and can't figure it out besides going vengeance (which wouldn't require us to drop SA) Looking in the holy tree I can see 15% seal damage. Or is the 10/41/10 build what you are going for? (or 10/38/13 if you don't wanna loose the movementspeed)

I would say that the skill with prot pally comes with REMEMBERING to put the appropriate gear on at the appropriate time.

@@DevTanks I actually apologized to my raid when I went into void reaver with 19k HP :( a lot of our pumpers had to just sit there and do nothing for quite a while.

Something else to consider that you don't mention: in Sunwell we lose 20% dodge. May be worth picking up some pieces with parry on them.

Interesting thought. Parry does scale worse than dodge rating too, I haven't really thought about Sunwell too much.

Hey, I know you commented on the 2 piece t6 set bonus, but I have been having trouble confirming how t6 4 piece bonus works. Do you know if the consecration dmg increase is supposed to be 10% overall damage or 10% base damage?

percentage is a linear function, if the overall damage is increased in 10% the ticks will be increased in 10%, the same thing for the other way around

i picked up my 4 set thursday , and what i saw was it was 10% onto the base spell, in the spell description it went from like 514 dmg over 8 seconds to 565 over 8 seconds when i equipped it

What is this spreadsheet data. How are you calculating "uncrush" and "avoidance". Uncrushable is 102.4% avoidance which is miss + dodge + block + parry. So why aren't they the same number? None of this data adds up nor makes any sense.

Uncrushable is 102.4% mitigation. Avoidance is the act of not getting hit by an attack. Dodge, Parry, Miss. Blocking an attack still takes the majority of it when tanking a raid boss therefore replacing more block with dodge/parry results in lower DTPS.

@@DevTanks avoidance is miss/dodge/parry while block is mitigation. They all keep you from being uncrushable. I think he didn't understand between mitigation and uncrushable?
