Thanks for the video. Is there an option in CFD POST to visualise solidification and melting ?

Thanks for sharing. I have some questions, 1. Why don't you use volume average for reporting the result? 2. I've followed all the steps in video, got the similar result, but as I add new plane to see in to the cross section in interior of the cell, I found that there is only heat transfer on the surface, but in the interior zone, there is no heat transfer.

This can be done in result section

what is the c-rating of the cells?
@FrontiersInCFDАй бұрын
The C-rate is often used to describe battery loads or battery discharging currents. 1 C-rate denotes the current rate at which a battery can be discharged in 1 hour

Thank you Frontier. I have a small doubt. When you specified the HTC in pcm, is it for heat transfer between cell wall and pcm ??? or it is within PCM?? or it is between and outside atmosphere?.......i guess the 3rd one. is it?

Excuse me,when I replicated your case, the liquid fraction rapidly increased from 0.05 to 1 at 70 seconds of calculation, which is why. However, the phase-change material temperature is much higher than 304K.Why?

@@FrontiersInCFD Excuse me,the improved mesh mass is 0.89, but similar problems still appear. When the calculation reaches 45s, the temperature of the phase change material rapidly rises to 1400K, and the liquid fraction rapidly rises from 0.005 to 1.0. I am very confused, why does the battery temperature of 304K cause the temperature of the phase change material to reach 1400K.

In orevious video of yours on the same topic (kzbin.info/www/bejne/enmrn36Klt5oe8U&ab_channel=FrontiersInCFD) you did not mention the n-octa as solid, but here you mentioned both solid and liquid both. Can you please explain why so?....and what difference according to you it will create? which one is more accurate?
@FrontiersInCFD8 ай бұрын
Defining both is more accurate to do so as the wall bounday conditions are represented by solids. If you know the properties of each and every material specify all for more accurate solution
