Oh wow! I always love to watch the detail work you put in your trains and layout. Especially all the miniature people that make the layout look alive.

Beautiful! I read the article in MR about your layout and the tech you use is really cool. Fantastic modeling too all the way around. Thanks for update!

Excellent blending into the new section and the layout overall is amazing. It very effectively shows the stark nature of the landscapes around the battlefield, where a lot of the trees and undergrowth are gone.

The new work seamlessly blends in, and looks grand. I can't wait to see the new discoveries on the other side of Stares Tunnel.

Very nice work indeed. Particular praise to the small details like the figures set around the layout. It's touches like that that take it from a mere static scene to something that feels alive. One question: The operating speed of the trains in this clip seems quite slow. Is that based on historical research of Civil War railway operations, or a practical limitation of the layout?
@BernardK4 жыл бұрын
Trains in that era could go up to 30-40mph. But they stayed around 20mph on the USMRR Aquia Line.

@@BernardK Some reports claim that during the Andrews Raid the General and Texas touched speeds as high as 60mph. Fair enough though for this particular line.

thanks for the video. question: is this 2 rail or three rail. Is there room for the sound system in the tender vs a sound and power car?
@BernardK2 жыл бұрын
Two rail. Most of the sound units are in the boiler. But I have some in the tender too.
