This should be a required video for those who decide to paint a backdrop. It is sad but true, many great model railroads have been ruined by poorly executed backdrops. And my rule of thumb is, if you don't have at least half the talent of Bob Ross to paint, then don't. There are way too many examples of backdrops that look like they were painted by a grade schooler.

Hervorragende Arbeit. Like me🛤️🛠🤩👍👍👍

Hello Bernie. First time visitor today and wondering, with all of your Civil War railway knowledge, maybe you could solve a mystery...See Abdill's "Civil War Railroads" and Page 102. The locomotive 'President' working the ballast train at City Point. The tender was working reversed coupled and I can't figure what the problem could have been for that to have been a solution. Thank you, John Haines

Your comment about 1/72nd European railcard being unavailable caught my attention. A gentleman in the UK has built a layout called Operation Overlord depicting a port on the South Coast of England in the build up to D-Day. He's also printed French and Belgian cars in 1:76 (British 00 gauge)
@BernardK
@BernardK 6 ай бұрын
That layout uses HO 1/87th scale track with 1/76th scale trains. That is British OO scale. Our locomotive model is actual 1/72nd scale. So HO track is too narrow.
