I actually worked at Vermilion in 1989-90 when I was a Biological Assistant for Lake Superior State University protecting the Piping Plover. I loved going up into the lookout at the top of the building where I slept and would watch the freighters way off in the distance. Went into frigid Lake Superior in June and there was still snow on the beach! I love that you are looking to preserve it.
