Nicely done, this'll make my 3-player mock up testing game much smoother. I can already tell this is going to be a chewy one!

The stained ruler tokens look nice, really make it easier to read the symbols.

Yeah, I was bummed at how light they were but they are easy to stain. I'm working on the coalition blocks now.

@@PhasingPlayer I painted my ruler tokens purple, with a grey dry brush over them. Pics in the bgg images for the game. I really like games that let you artistically customize them. So many different variations emerge.

The ruler tokens and the fact that the box was a bit too small to hold everything without some "creative organization" were literally the only things I was disappointed with (yeah, I'm still salty about the box...it annoys the hell out of me that every time I put the game away I have to put everything back "just so" when a tiny bit of extra height would've been enough). I will stain my ruler tokens soon. They're hard to differentiate in their natural (un)finish. I think I'll leave the coalition blocks alone, though. I like them as they are.

@@caomhan84 yes, I'd dearly love to sleeve my cards, but I'm not sure it's possible to do so without removing the insert, and it does looks so pretty when packed "just so"

general question: I recently managed to get the 1st edition of Pax PAmir (without extension) and I was wondering: since there is few video on the 1st edition, can I use video like this one as a good guide?
@PhasingPlayer
@PhasingPlayer 4 жыл бұрын
My video here for 2nd edition won't really carry over to 1st edition, but I have been considering making a how to play video for the first edition just so that there was that resource available. So keep an eye out in the future! Maybe sooner rather than later.

Thanks for this! You do such great work. In particular, your video for The Great Zimbabwe is part of why I got it, got hooked on it, fell in love with it. I was wondering: would you consider ever making a strategy video for Pax Pamir 2E? Like how you did a "one shots" video for Pax Renaissance?
@PhasingPlayer
@PhasingPlayer 5 жыл бұрын
Thank you! On some days TGZ is my favorite Splotter game, so I'm glad to hear when people get into it. As far as more Pamir videos, I haven't had a chance to play a ton of it up to now, so I don't know exactly how much I could say. I would have to give it some thought.

Great Overview - thanks for making it! I'm going to be playing this game with our group soon and wanted to have a decent awareness of the rules. One suggestion: perhaps you can remove the background soundtrack during your explanation. The subtle, periodic drumbeat was distracting to what you were saying.

This was a bit confusing and had some redundancies that made it hard to follow. If it’s meant as an overview i would think it should have more narrative examples of how the mechanics influence decision making, but it’s mostly just an incomplete rules video.

What if all the players select the same loyalty? I didnt read that it cant
@PhasingPlayer
@PhasingPlayer 5 жыл бұрын
Nope, no rules against it. In fact in a game with more than 3 players you will always have some players doubling up on loyalty.

Don't you lose ALL your cards related to that region if an Overthrow happens?
@Dometooplz
@Dometooplz 5 жыл бұрын
No, you lose only your political cards as they are the only ones associated with tribes. from the rulebook Page 8: "if you lose your last tribe in a region, you must immediately discard all political cards associated with that region from your court. " and vice versa: lose all your political cards in a location? lose all your tribes. Maybe you got that mistake from the NPI video?
