Probably saw that it was a EMF5 ghost by the activity screen in the truck. Since Nuzz didn't want to get info that way it would make sense that Simon didn't tell him during the run. Both ghosts are freezing n EMF5.

@@Phagastick you actually can. If u look at the activity reader and it goes from 0 to 4 in a straight shot it's a EMF5 ghost. This is 100% fact. Not something I'm guessing about. Not something I made up, which a lot of people seem to think. It's fact. I promise. Insym uses it all the time in photo randomizer challenge videos, and chat talked about it in this video. Nuzz said he doesn't use that way bc he prefers to go inside and get the EMF reading. At like 8:39 ish

For those wondering what Simon saw, I don't know what he said but based on the video if you watch super closely when Nuzz is moving the UV light around to look for footprints it reveals that there's a fingerprint on the light switch. My guess is Simon was eagle-eyed enough to notice.

They made it a point to avoid absolutes in this game in order to keep it from getting stale. So every now and then, you will get a Shade that will hunt you even if you are in a group, a wraith that leaves footprints, a demon that won't hunt... etc.

I enjoy just using no tools at all and deducing the ghost. Listening to the footsteps when there's light or no power, figuring out their quirks, and working purely off of their book description. It's also just scarier being so vulnerable and out in the dark

I wish there were more youtubers like you for the games I like. You did an incredible job in studying the game mechanics in detail. Like for example, I am into Prison Architect, I wish there was at least one youtuber as dedicated and in-detail as you do with this game. I hope the devs realize how important your channel is for Phasmaphobia. Cuz all those dumb youtubers playing it for giggles do give it some attention, but honestly what makes the difference on this game from a one-time thing you play with friends and a game you'll sink hundreds of hours in, is actually understanding the mechanics and, let's be honest, the game on it's own does a terrible job in explaining it's mechanics.

When looking at the sanity after a hunt, can't you add 7 to it? The hunt started more than a minute before you left the building. Am not at the end yet, but if that's the case it can only be Banshee or Demon because it was over 60 when the hunt started, so at most also a mare, but not a phantom. (Am guessing Demon because of Activity while you were outside) Edit: Ok, after that hunt at that much sanity, it has to be a Banshee. I thought ghosts would use their power more frequently

I had my first hunt by myself in Tanglewood (Mare) and it was the most terrifying thing in the world xD I hid in the closet, I heard it walk in front of the closet (the closet next to the nursery) and just when I thought I was dead- the hunt ended. Thankfully I was done my investigation, knew it was a Mare but it tried to get me while I was leaving xD.

ya. mare dosnt ALWAYS go for the power box. had one pro-asylum with a mare. she kept turning off the light switch,almost comically with the person in the room turning them back on, and had only hit the power box once during the affair.

wraith does disturb saltpiles but does not leave footprints. there is a bug where wraiths do leave them but it's pretty rare. had it once so far and i'm lvl 491 :) if it helps

@@mellymel7205 But that is easily a combo of a light flicker and an object throw. EMF 5 is only something you can pick up with the reader last I knew.

There's also a point in the video where someone asks if he knows about it and he even says that he prefers to go in the house and get it himself.
