I tried to find a vomiting christmas tree or pine tree... it doesn't exist. But I fully believe that doing something poorly earns you the right to never have to do it again. 😂

First thoughts "my algebra book is more scary than this event". When it comes to the jack in the box, i would love if they do somethinng, like have a random effect every time you open one (like tarot cards). Like start a hunt, ghost event, change de ghost room, something .

From the footage shared in this video, I have to say I love the concept of Krampus. Just the other day, a friend and I were discussing how exciting it would be to see that mythology incorporated as a ghost model or theme. This idea definitely earns an A+ from me. That said, I have to agree with your points about the decorations feeling lackluster. There’s nothing that really captures the Christmas spirit-no Christmas tree, no string lights, nothing to create that festive atmosphere. It would be great to have a cheerful, holiday vibe before stepping inside to face Krampus. I’m hoping they might release a patch or that CJ might enhance the artwork for the event to better reflect the season. As it stands, this feels like a bit of a letdown compared to the Halloween event.

This is exactly how I felt. The devs stated that this would feel like the Halloween event - be on par with that - because they can't make tons of changes so close to the Crimson Eye. The focus was to make the Easter Event even better since it's still quite a ways out. BUT - I don't think this is even close to being as good as the Crimson Eye event. We don't get a permanent unlock and well, it feels like they remembered we needed decorations at the 11th hour.

Right? Who decorates like that? It's like a whole forest and their snow is inside. I mean, sure some holly or a wreath and a tree... but that's a lot of pine garland. Someone needs to lay off the Hobby Lobby.

I've just started playing the new event and boy.. For one, I love the Krampus looks and sounds. Searching for boxes and activating them? Sure that sounds like a fun activity that I like. But indeed I'm missing some ambiance for sure. And I guess also some extra gameplay. Last year we had a gun and needed to shoot 50ish tiny hidden snowman and in the end the ghost changed into a snowman. THAT was fun and awesome. Even though you needed to turn the map inside out to find the last 2 snowman. It was something different. Anyways what they did make, sounds and looks good, except for the christmas brance vomit. The event is litteraly a copy past of halloween. If they just changed the idea of "Find this item and click on it" into something else with skill or random, it would have been more fun. Imagine if we could have some snowballs which would stun the ghost (like an incense) if we do part of the event for the map we're playing on.

I think there was a lot of opportunity to make this event good but it was missed. I don't know if it was just lack of enthusiasm or lack of time or a lack of vision or maybe a bit of everything (or maybe none of those things) but this is what we get this year. And it's really not loved. It feels like normal regular phasmophobia with a ghost that looks different (but we always get the same one) and we're being forced into playing the same 4 maps. That makes this feel more tedious than fun. I would give this a week before people are already tired of playing it. It's unfortunate because I'm sure no developer wants to see people criticize or not enjoy their work.

@@ChickyTV oh for sure. I’m happy they actually do a Christmas event at all when they are too busy. It’s hard to come up with a new event 3 times per year. Not every one of them is going to hit the mark. Also was it just me or did it feel like sanity drained a lot slower than normal? I was playing on tanglewood and I waited over 10 minutes in the dark ghost room to get my sanity down to 25% on nightmare.

@@Questerer That seems really long. I didn't feel like there was any adjustment to sanity drain though. I wonder if it was a bug.

That's what I said to the other partners. 🤣 But truthfully, I haven't had a tree in years. Such a pain to put up. And why just have lights one part of the year? Lights year round!!!

btw when you wish to see the ghost im pretty sure it apears somewhere near you and then it hunts so thats why your friend died anyway love your channel (i saw the short so dis is kind of supposed to be a Commet on the short but whatever) :)

When they first released the monkey paw, this is how it worked. But they released an update a few months ago that changed the monkey paw wish to see the ghost. It not appears where ever it may be. In the short, the ghost's room was the basement so this is why I thought it would appear there. It had wandered as ghost do. Glad you like the channel and thanks for the comment!

Krampus is terrible. To avoid it, drink water and stretch, also don't over-exert yourself. Krampus is the worst kinda ghost.
