@@DegreeDoctor Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I am so pleased that they are from a UK small business as I love to support them and am particularly pleased when they also have a zero waste policy too. I have bookmarked the store on the Etsy site and will buy myself a pair as a treat once my dissertation is handed in - roll on 26th September!!

This was so helpful, especially the part about coming up with literature review questions. I’m wondering about how to make my lit review systematic, in terms of recording the databases and search terms used and detailing eg exactly how many studies came up and how I selected/rejected what to include?

Thanks for commenting, I'm so pleased you found the video helpful. I'm not an expert on systematic literature reviews as they're not common in my field. However, you might find this video by Dr Amina Yonis helpful - kzbin.info/www/bejne/hXrbmqSNap5ppNk

Hello Degree Doctor, Can I generate my own questions if I don’t have research questions, only have aims and objectives. Also do you provide online support on one to one basis? If so, how can I book with you please.

Hi! Thanks for reaching out. At the moment, I’m not taking on new clients for one-on-one support, but I’m happy to offer some guidance here. Yes, you can definitely generate your own research questions from your aims and objectives. Start by breaking down your objectives into specific, actionable questions that will help you achieve your research aims. Think about what you need to find out or explore in order to meet each objective. For example, if one of your objectives is to understand a particular phenomenon, your research question could ask, ‘What are the key factors influencing this phenomenon?’ This approach will ensure that your research questions are directly aligned with your overall goals. I hope this helps, and good luck with your research!

Hello ma'am...I have a general query that first of all we need to have research questions in mind first then we go for literature review or first we do the literature review and then make research questions

In research, you can start either with exploring existing studies or with coming up with your own questions. Many researchers begin by checking what others have already studied (literature review) to understand the topic better. This can help spark ideas for research questions. But as you read more, you might find new questions or change your original ones based on what you learn. So, it's like a back-and-forth process: reading, questioning, and refining ideas. There's no strict order, and it often depends on what works best for you and your project. Just remember, both literature review and forming research questions are important steps that go hand in hand, helping you to shape your research journey. Hope this helps!
