Thank you so much sir for sharing your valuable interview experience. I gave interview at prl this year in atomic, molecular and optical Physics department. But my interview was taken nearly 1 hour 25 minutes.

Hi Megha. No, it is not mandatory, but if you have done any project or masters project, then you might face similar interview. Otherwise, if not, then basic physics will be asked.

Congratulations Ravi for selection in Solar physics! Well, Astronomy and Astrophysics panel was very much around 30 minutes as my others friends told. Maybe other panels had different timings for interviews.

Hi Amresh. Well that depends on different institutions. Some require during the application filling process, while some may ask you to send it on the day of the interview. It's always good to have a SOP format prepared.
