Yeah. Generally it doesnt happen that you will answer all the questions but they will see your approach for the questions and will judge you on the basis of that.

Hi shubham, Its always an advantage if you have some research experience while applying in abroad but its okay it is not compulsory even if you dont have for some colleges in abroad. It depends on the professor under which you are applying. If you want to gain research experience, you try to apply as project assistant in some universities/ IITs/research laboratories like NCL pune.

Hi Gauri, It's really difficult to analyze performance, as they don't provide any cutoff list. There are alternate ways to get an admission in TIFR (Through GATE / CSIR NET JRF). Try applying through these.

Mam for theoretical physics tifr is best or iisc bangalore, I don't want to compare them and i don't believe in ranking. Which one is more internationally reputed for their research in theoretical physics and which one gives more apportunity to study abroad in some prestigious institutes of UK, USA, Germany etc.

Both are very good. Can't compare properly both of them. Only you can say that IISc is goveronment. (You can see it like IITs and BITs or IIM and IBM). Both of them will give very good opportunities to do your higher studies in abroad. If you can get any of them, I feel you can take it depending on the professor and your interest.

Yes archana😊 You can do MSc or integrated MSc-PhD from: TIFR mumbai(department of biological sciences), or NCBS bengaluru or TIFR centre for interdisciplinary sciences(TCIS, Hyderabad) For these, you have to apply for TIFR written exam i.e., GS 2021. Actually syllabus is similar to IIT JAM and NET level. Mostly they ask basics only. Solve previous year question papers. According to me, it was not much tough like CSIR NET but basics should be clear like IIT JAM level.

For day scholar students, they didn't take this time (as it was online coursework and stipend also got delayed) but hosteler students paid some amount which was not high mostly less than 8k. This is also one of the very good thing about TIFR that the fee is not high compared to IITs.

And yeah the above thing was for PhD. In your intMSc-PhD, you will be getting stipend even in your MSc tenure that option is not in case of IITs.

Yes there is an option for integrated PhD in TIFR. Firstly, you have to crack the entrance exam. So, i will suggest you to focus on theoretical part more and keep your concepts strong. Solve previous year questions.
