Dunno if you will agree with me, but imo a Celestial Anchor based playstyle basically negates the need for stamina management skills for bow. Which in theory opens space for even more dmg stacking on raw (and negates the main negative of the other 2). I see you dont use the anchor that much... Would that be a thing you tested and decided against or more of a playstyle preference?

It's better to just watch his vid for numbers. He doesnt seem to bother making a build that works for bow. Crit literally outperform Skanda build and stamina is never a problem. Man is too used to old broken bow and surprised attack.

With the crit cannon, I'll mix in karakuri to build heat. Either spring, fire torch, anchor, or glider. Oh and glider gives faster rpm

I always thought that the 4% crit boost: fury on the weapon tree was a sucker bet, because under MMO style crit damage calculations, it would amount to about a 1.5% damage increase, given a base 1.33 multiplier and 50% crit. Would like to see test with say, 19% crit boost fury (3 smoked dried golden sesame seeds and a prickly ash pepper).

Say a part has a 50% damage reduction, the crit will ignore 30% of it, effectively raising hitzone values, works best on fight like lavaback where you get very few high hitzones to hit reliably

Crit cannon seems just nuts, so if you wanna make that? do it, no real reason to not. Also Fire Cannon seems pretty cracked for the right matchup. Now for bow, I feel like Crits can be worth it as well, especially with Anchor playstyle since you do shorter volleys now anyways after the rebalance patch, and stamina is less important. Fire as well seems worth it. Conclusion? These weapons are worth making, but you can also use the good old tempest bow if you want to because you’re lazy. Thank you for all the testing Phem! Bow is one thing but other weapons are different. Crit meta is only on certain weapons and not all. For example, Katana has about 150+ raw compared to the crit katana and that is huge(i'll get into it). This is not the only weapon as well, weapons like Nodachi for example has a difference of 500 raw and same goes for maul. That is too huge of a difference, and heres why. The current meta set is to use Desperation build which can net you 29% attack increase. Taking into example: Raw Nodachi has 1.1k*29%=319 and adding to a total of 1419 attack. Meanwhile crit(grimstalker weap) has about 600 attack with no desperation to boost the damage. While c.dmg is nice, the multiplier rate is too low without the cdmg inc skills and even so it is still too low for these weapons. Bow, Claw Blade and Bladed wagasa comparison to the weapons have a difference of about 100-150 raw difference with despe. This is not huge and desperation could not really increase the attack amount by a huge margin and this is where c.dmg comes in. In this scenario, C.dmg will have a higher dmg increase because it will provide a higher value increase in comparison to desperation build on these weapons. The best way to describe this is that, crit will be better if c.dmg inc is higher than the raw increase and the raw difference is not more than 50%.

Imagine if the test dummy was tested and was viable to be used for testing. p_p This game is testing my nerves. But I really like the Crit bow being slash, togethr with the new Helmet that brings a nice Damage bonus on DVs.

Even better, bolster damage buffs are multiplicative, not additive. So if you have 40% desperation, and 6% slash boost, then you're actually doing 1.4*1.06=1.484 which is 48.4% damage increase.

As stated in the video. crit isn’t traditional in this game & basically works better on kemono with high defense since is basically a defense shred only worth using on V or DV monsters. That of which is also a waste since there’s no incentive to hunt DV monsters. Also its a bit disappointing for bow atleast. The damage doesn’t out weigh the lose of essential stamina skills.

@@JiggyNegus I see. You said there is no incentive to hunt v or dv kemonos, so there is incentive to hunt regular kemonos? Is so, why? I would say v and dv are the end game and way more incentive to hunt for the layer armor or a small chance for talismans. 💁🏻‍♂️

It would be better if you actually try to make build for bow instead of sticking to the same groundtoya playstyle which is shit compared to airtoya and it also doesnt need stamina. Which pretty take away that con on crit/elemental bow.
