np. I'd stop the path around ice crystal gauge, then upgrade into boss weapon once you fight it and can make it, THEN stay there, and farm all the mats needed to go up and around into emberplume. you don't want to upgrade 1 by 1 and be hunting cobalts/emberplumes with a weaker raw weapon by going upwards prematurely.

if you want to add "Claw Master" (not the gauge depletion) to the build, there's a talisman that adds just that called "Otsuki Talisman: Idle Life". i think it's a collectible talisman you get from exploring the zones (Otsuki Castle?). Cost is 20.

I'm aware, but its the same thing as 2:45, its somewhat unneeded. if it can guarantee put you full every combo 1 of my combo guide, then it'll be worth it, but if its simply 5-10% more gauge, it won't be. I'd have to hear someone who outright tested it to say its worth it to consider it, not just suggesting it simply because it exist.

There's two type of claw master skill. One with a percentage and one without the percentage. The one "without" a percentage add more gauge when you plant your claw attack. The one "with" help slow down your claw gauge. Not sure why they made it the same name but definitely recommend the clawmaster without a percentage.

I think the 2x15% Destruction on every weapon is mandatory. 1. You get more parts saving lots of time for grinding 2. You flinch monster a ton which equals a whole lot of dps 3. You also help other players with farming parts

@@Llama_Cub both 15% are on the right side you split the tree vertically. The second if you cannot see it is 3/4 down and a bit to the right from the middle. You can get both easily no crazy zigzags.

Claw Master is basically mandatory for claw blade builds, definitely grab that talisman. Also, One Stroke: Fury is not as good as it sounds; if you've done any testing at all you'd see that the buff has a very short duration after breaking parts and adds little to your overall damage.

I'm kinda confused on the inheritable transfer stuff. Like, for the first one am I just keeping speed swallow and tiger's den because it changes something? Why inherit them if they aren't what I will have at the end? If I keep inheriting skills, when I reach 5 can I no longer swap them out??

Jumping should cancel most attacks mid-animation.

@@Kuoncchi You can, you just have to make sure you jump before the second attack starts it's divebomb animation. Pull also cancel's the first attack's spin animation a little quicker than jump, you can just spin-pull-spin-pull which is good if you're missing, but it doesn't cancel any part of the second attack's animation, so if you start the second attack you need to jump to cancel it and continue. I usually just save the finisher until I'm just about to run out of latch meter.

Ice crystal gauge is the only claw blade that deals lunge damage. Look at top left icon to see weapons damage type. All other claw blades is slash type damage. Green - lunge, blue - slash, yellow - pummel.

@@PWARGaming As a Ps5 player, the FPS drops to like 10 in online fights as well. Although it helps with timing and telegraphing Kemono attacks, it's extremely annoying.

not sure. i'm an average player, and I haven't seen too much claw speedruns in the game yet, but I assume its weaker than bow, but then again they pretty much rely on trap spamming for dps uptime whereas claws, you have to deal with avoiding monsters attacks which slow dps down. also have to reliably hit weakpoints for maximum effectiveness vs bow that aims at weakpoints with ease. you'd have to be damn good to make it comparable to bow i think

@@PWARGaming I can help clarify it a bit so yes speed bow players do use traps for the sake of flinch resets but can be done without it by using the celestial anchor and/or the latern. claw blades falls behind the bow especially since the knockdown threshold takes longer for claw but it does mainly excels with monsters that either are long bodied (which for bow is a blessing a curse for repositioning but a huge buff for claw) or tends to have lots of stationary moments like the birds however both can sub 3 but the clawblade player has to be good at getting instant gauge which isnt hard in particular but most casual users of it do not know how to use move variants for situations and how to maximize use of gauge instead of instant bursting all the time. I planned to make videos on it soon along with the runs or guide. hope that helps a bit edit: Forgot to say bow skill tree just flat out has better skill options too than claw claw is in some weird state of skills so getting a lot out of it and strong variations is kinda iffy

stats don't change for path, you can stay at base. i think i did for the video, but kemono might get you more defense, and obviously more points to kemono path if you haven't hit that red kemono icon yet to activate skills

@@BomberManPlayz final boss sucks for claw unfortunately, its body constantly interrupts your attacks, and its hard to stay latched on. best advice is use stake to latch on, rather than normal attack buildup. and press the pull in button when latched often, but also immediately attack afterwards to avoid jumping off it as best you can. use your super as soon as you get it since its hard to stay on even if you manage to for too long. usually aim for the tail/arms, head if it falls over.

you can get poison from talisman. and i haven't heard anyone do data on poison tick rate/etc. the dps gain from it could be very little (or also good, but until that data is out, its a risk to build a specific claw around it). personally i think blaze/ice is better, you get more safe hits in since they topple/flinch.

@@cryssyyxx I can send you the mathematically two best claw blade builds. One for part destruction and one focused towards raw damage. Elemental SHOULD be better than raw but it basically performs the same as a raw build without the need to build for every element. Also, Emberplume Gloves and Chest are best in slot period with Desperation. That's a 14% sheet damage increase. Depending on your play style you can always mix it up, but if you want the best it's pretty straightforward. Emberplume helmet is also great with 5% damage increase during daytime hunts and deaf ears for more DPS during roar windows. Then pick up boots with savage, celestial dragon pants for 10% DPS increase on enraged or slash bolster on Deathstalker pants for 3% increase at all times.

What happened with the bow build

BBSA doesn't effect dmg from glider/thread spam, which people pointed out, and i tested, and confirmed it doesn't, so it effectively took a tedious path for no dmg gain at all. so don't want to give false information so hid it. the 2nd build in the video is fine, but yah, 1st one was incorrect. I commit video seppuku if i'm wrong.

Is there a reason why raw trumps crit in this game? Considering how important it is in monster hunter, I am surprised to see it take a backseat.

because A. you got WAY more crit in MH. there is no weakness exploit in 3 slots equivalent here. and B. this game barely has any base crit on weapons. the highest crit weapon is the wolf one at 25%, but the raw is over 130 less than bird weapon i use. lets say the crit multiplier is 1.35. even if you got 100% crit on that weapon, you'd go from 256 x 1.35 = 345. still 45 less than the 390 wpn. and while that path is taking every crit node to get 100% crit to try to even match the base dmg of the 390 bird, the bird/dragon/tiger wpn is pumping normal dmg to have even higher attack/dmg instead. now then C. you're limited to 4-5 inheritable of small 5% crit or 12% chain crit, that needs good base crit to activate. so can't pump dmg AND crit high like you could with MH, you kinda can only go one of the other. if we removed wex from mh, I'd argue more people would go atk7 over criteye7. there is an exception, but you'd still use the big non crit wpn as your best, so the bird/dragon/tiger weapons are likely always gonna be the best weapons anyone's gonna build, that isn't element, which has its own issues from the tiny roster this game has.

There is one skill where you deal more damage in the air 5% I think, is there a reason you did not take it over the stamina in the air? Edit: I am dumb, only seeing now that skill is on the end goal. And that the other skills are as valuable as the 5% more damage with claw gauge slower and so on.

you can't replace an existing inheritable on the weapon you upgrade into afaik. the aerial is on the final base bird wpn, so stuck with it. and tigers den would also effect your not aerial hits, so its better than the air dmg one as an inheritable to seek out.

as I said, not sure. if its confirmed 6 seconds, then its a bit worse than i thought, but in relation to your other comment about destruction nodes. you actually DON'T want to stack too many, cuz if you say break multiple parts at once, or too fast, you're refreshing your fury buff timer too soon. if the breaks are more far apart, you get more uptime of fury per encounter. and the spin2win combo is hard to control so you can break stuff on accident. maybe this is less relevant against volatiles, but in that last clip at the end you can see how much dmg and breaking i'm doing in a short amount of time, with just the 30%.

It usually takes a few minutes for me hitting a part for it to be destroyed (like a tail or horn), so I would've thought getting 15% damage on that part over those few minutes would be more beneficial than the 8% damage for 5-10 seconds after destroying. Or does destruction get triggered a lot more?

@@mcdonaldslover52 destruction isn't more dmg, its purely part break threshold. it does nothing for your dps without one stroke. if you cut a tail with destruction, you simply cut the tail sooner. if you cut the tail with one stroke, you get that buff to deal more dmg to the monsters life total. one ends the monsters life faster, the other breaks the part faster. a mix is fine, as the build has, but going too much into D isn't worth it, imo.
