How does the selection process work? I was wondered how ppl get selected for the 4x1 or 4x4 teams.

They pull folks from 200m to run in the 4x100. Gabby Thomas because she runs the curve really well. I have even seen 400m runners run in the 4x100.. Allyson Felix. Think it's a combination of factors, not just speed/time. Passing and receiving need a gutsy finisher, one that will not panic. Ability to run the stagers of the track.. it is almost a science.

Top 6 in relay pool & Rai the 400m hurdler always anchors. Lyles not an option.

He attends almost as a sub. Meaning, he can run the qualifying rounds but probably won't be in the finals unless there are several injuries.
