Any singer attempting to cover a David Bowie tune is going to soon find out how great he was. Even if… they thought he was already great.

Absolutely great seeing these artist paying tribute to the late great David Bowie. He was a phenomenal artist singer song writer performer. He was under appreciated under recognized and under acknowledged. He had vision and bravely went to places others were scared to even consider. He broke the ground that allowed others to venture down the road he paved. With out him some of the glitz and showmanship that had become standard would not exist. The make up the costumes and conceptualization that bonded ides of people places or things with music was forged by David . He was really quite humble in what he did and did not do. The things that mattered were the music the show and the fans. In his passing we all lost a true artist and visionary that did not recognize boundaries or boarders when it came to music. His life's work , the ememsise catalogue of music songs his work in and on films soundtracks and the lives he touched and times he help define are a credit to him his drive and what he saw as possibilities. He touched people and the lives they lead. And in the end probably the greatest testimony we could ever give him is to say that music, that people , and really the world itself are better off having had the opportunity to meet explore and enjoy what David had to offer. The world would have been a different place had not that voice not soared!

The last two were amazing unlike the others because they were actually fatefull to the source material. The first five made the songs more pop-sounding and instead of trying to sing the actually impressive parts of the song, they just added their own things and tried to flex thejr voice. So upset that nobody made their voice high pitched on life on mars at the part bowie says "freakiest show"/"best-selling show". Also nobody except the last one made the line "is there life on mars?" powerfull. The first ones just did a low voice

I implore people like this to actually venture into his discography and stop covering the same three songs over and over. They'll find out much greater tunes, that aren't even deep cuts. Oh, and actually have some fun singing his songs, they don't always have to be somber, solemn covers. How can you make Starman boring?! It's about an alien coming to save us!

Forgive me, but too often, it’s a circus of voices quivering with vibrato, dripping with counterfeit emotions, turning exquisite compositions into bloated balloons. These pieces-sculpted with the precision of a surgeon slicing silence-are devoured by the beast of exaggeration, left howling in a pit of theatrical contortions. It’s a poodle parade, mascara running, ribbons choking. A spectacle of nothingness, spinning glitter and foam, selling fake jewels to blind crowds. This isn’t art-it’s a merry-go-round of empty laughter, a sugar rush for the soul that crashes before it even begins to rise.The first of this vid was the exeption, very good and personal version...
@Dancis0724 күн бұрын
I totally agree, plus I can't fathom the enthusiasm of these judges, indeed, yes, they need to emotionally engage the audience in the theater and the one at home. These contestants aren't anything special and their performance is just sufficient.

ESTES JOVENS ESTÃO INTERPRETANDO ESTAS MÚSICAS QUE SÃO IMORTAIS E PENSO QUE ESTE MOVIMENTO DA JUVENTUDE (ALGUNS) QUE NEM O CONHECERAM ESTAREM CANTANDO SUAS MÚSICAS QUE SÃO CANÇÃO DE GRANDE QUALIDADE. I apologize for my opinion, but the song, especially known by the older generation, has many connections to that time and the song itself. For me, those covering it are just voices without truly understanding what it's about.

4:24 Very very bad... It feels like the judge was gutted after the first push, so seeing the other two turning their chair is beyond understanding for me. Overall, whether because of the instrumentation or the performances, it was very bad. And they are the best ones ? I am not impressed.. 😤

Sono d'accordo, non si cerca una imitazione ma la stessa capacità di Bowie di cantare le ombre, la fragilità, la solitudine, i demoni, non basta la bella voce, a me non basta.
