Phentermine

Phentermine is an FDA approved oral therapy that assists in short-term weight loss in combination with diet and exercise. Phentermine belongs to the appetite suppressing family and is a weak relative of amphetamine. Phentermine may be appropriate when the BMI - body mass index - exceeds 30 or 27 in the presence of other cardiovascular risk factors .
Phentermine is inappropriate for those who desire to lose a few pounds. In selected individuals it should be administered on hour or two before or after breakfast. A split dose of 18.75 mg before breakfast and dinner is also acceptable. Since phentermine functions as a stimulant, a bedtime dose risks insomnia.
Therapy may continue for a maximum of 12 weeks. Unfortunately a regain of weight generally occurs in the absence of a continuous low calorie diet. weight regain occurs after discontinuation of therapy. The greatest weight loss occurs in the first several weeks of therapy. Effectiveness of Phentermine is lost beyond 12 weeks of use.
Contraindications against use of phentermine include coronary artery disease, arrhythmia, uncontrolled blood pressure and heart failure. Hyperthyroidism, glaucoma, an agitated state and pregnancy also exclude Phentermine eligibility. Phentermine should not be prescribed to those with a history of drug abuse.
Generally well tolerated, adverse effects of phentermine include dry mouth, unpleasant taste, diarrhea or constipation. Hives or urticaria, hair loss and erectile dysfunction may also develop. Symptoms of acute phentermine overdose present as restlessness, tremor, panic attacks, confusion and hallucinations. Insomnia, irritability, hyperactivity and psychosis reminiscent of schizophrenia may indicate chronic toxicity.

Wow thank you for this video! So much information! My doctor prescribed this to me about 2 weeks ago.. started out on 30 mg and it was strong, I took it for a few days then out of nowhere I felt shaky, weird feeling, didn’t want to be around anyone I just felt like I had this overwhelming feeling that started 3-4 hours after taking the pill so I guess I reached my “peak”.. it went away about an hour or two later but I spoke with my doctor and was changed to a lower dosage. I lost 9.5 pounds in a week I couldn’t believe it.. Now I am taking 15 mg and my pharmacist told me I should’ve started on 15 mg and worked my way up. I can definitely see a difference in the 15 mg and 30 mg for sure. I had really bad dry mouth on the 30 mg and not so much on the 15 mg, I was able to eat a little on the lower dosage but my doctor said after I’m taking 15 mg for a little while I can go back up to 30 mg where my body may be used to it by then. I just wished I started out low and worked my way up.

It was strong because it's an amphetamine-like stimulant. Its chemical structure is very similar to methamphetamine.

I have been taking this for a month and a half and it’s a miracle worker. I was given given another med to go along with it which is supposed to elongate the affect. I didn’t get any side effects other than insomnia! I’ve lost around 16 lbs since, I do OMAD and eat good nutritious food along with walking a lot. I’m hoping to not take it longer than 3 months in total and just maintain my weight then. My problem was always mental, I’m addicted to food, feel empty and depressed with out it! But with this I feel peppy 😌

You know that during the trials when the drug is being tested if 1 in 500 of the subjects dies of something or is afflicted by some condition they have to list it as a possible side effect. So in the case of heart attack that might mean if you are otherwise healthy you have a 1 in 500 chance of getting a heart attack or 0.2% chance, or in other words there's a 99.8% chance you won't get a heart attack.

I've had Duromine at 40 milligrams but with long acting resin but it acts like a anti-depressant in my body when I had it and on a side-note weight-loss was the second side-effect but I was overweight when I did use it. But because I have an interlectual Disability and autism it totally gave me some help with consentration which I thought was a little weird but a nice side-effect but also helped reverse damage that I had from an artificial sweetener aspartame that caused me to become overweight in the first place but I'm no doctor and only share from experience I had on this when on it but the Duromine is the Australian name for phentermine

Saw some comments below regarding people starting doses at 30mg/day and thought I'll weigh in as a medical doctor that has prescribed phentermine topimirate to obese patients for years - an intial starting dose of 30mg is simply ridiculous and can be potentially dangerous in terms of adverse effects like severe constipation and dry mouth. Phentermine is meant to be slowly tapered up and the usual starting dose is anywhere between 3.75mg to 7.5mg per day, adjusting doses based on weight loss results. If your GP instructs you to start off at 30mg I highly recommend you do not and seek another health professional's advice. This medication is also not recommended if you have co-existing cardiovascular issues. Also as this video recommends, this medication is not usually used long term due to the propensitiy for depression and anxiety that can set in so make sure you have regular follow ups with your GP if you plan to take this in the long run.

Finally someone who makes sense. Thank you posting your comment I’ve been looking for this. I have been prescribed Lomaira 8mg 1 pill before breakfast and 2 pills before lunch. I feel that this is a very large dose as I have anxiety and at night I can’t sleep. It makes my heart race but tolerable. I will go down to the dose you referenced here as it makes more sense to me.

YES! Take the lowest dose possible! Cause this drug is extremely strong! My doctor prescribed 37.5! Crazy I know! So, I just take a very tiny nibble of the end of this pill! And you don't have to take it everyday! Be VERY cautious with this one! Great video!

The dosage was 30 mg once a day for 90 days. Since it was 10 years ago I’m not sure what was on the bottle but it gave me crazy energy 😂

Just eat well. Meat helps with mood a lot outside of this too (you're out of luck if you have high blood pressure just stay off it), just enough protein and supplement vitamin B,C and magnesium, get enough sun. Breathing exercises help with the anger part but not without the other steps. Just don't "diet" by starving till night and running off the pill only
