I felt the same way about headless guitars for the longest time. But I picked up a headless kiesel delos a few years ago and I play it more than anything else. it's so light and compact it's a perfect couch guitar. I'm pretty much sold on the concept and plan on getting another.

I love it. As an everyday guitar it plays extremely well. Everyone who has picked up mine, even though they might not like the look. They all agree from a playability perspective it’s a big leap ahead.

Probably the funniest positive review I've seen for a guitar. They can't stand looking at it but it's so good that they're relentlessly positive on the sound and the feel.

once you start to play it you appreciate its shape more and more till eventually it becomes the most beautiful guitar for you, at least that's what happened to me. Bought mine for ergonomics and versatility, but as a result sold my other guitars as I never played any of those since I've got a Strandberg. They did something right. Thank you, Ola!

The headstock kinda (a lil bit) makes up for the wierd shape when it comes to putting the guitar down. You can easily chuck it onto a bed or sofa without worrying that the tuning pegs will get affected.

Fits great in wall hangers made for ukelele like String Swing or Hercules. I also have a Hercules hanging floor stand. People use a lot of different stands, it's not as difficult as it seems at all.

Just recently got one, and love it. You guys had about the same reaction I did after sitting down with it for a while, I don’t hate how it looks, but I am afraid when I show up with it that people expect either a skill level or genre, I’m not prepared to play. My solution after about 2 weeks of trying to find a place to put it was, a hanging guitar stand that I modified with golf club grips, that I cut down to the size I needed, and slid on the stand backwards. I think not being able to hang it is its main flaw. Great video, and thanks.

I got the Boden Metal NX 6. I played it lightly for a few days because it´s so light, I was afraid I was gonna break it. But I turned up the heat and agression. Still couldn´t knock it out of tune! It took me roughly two whole weeks before I needed to finetune it! These are words that no Gibson owner has ever spoken...

I have an 8 string Strandberg and I LOVE it. Love the way it plays, sounds and looks. Every other guitar feels like a downgrade after living with a Strandberg for a while. Only annoying thing is finding a stand to put it on, I use one of those floor stands that has two cradle arms and a neck rest and it works great. There are some wall mounting pieces you can buy as well. If you've ever hit your headstock against your desk when writing / recording, this doesn't happen with Strandbergs. The lack of a headstock means it doesn't tip when you hold it. If you play in a more classical style and use a leg riser, you don't need that anymore with the Strandberg's 2nd leg position cutout. The angled neck gives you a more stable grip. The position of the jack means it never gets in the way or gets pulled out. All those little details for me add up to the perfect guitar. My biggest gripe is the lack of customization options like other pickup models, fancier finishes and wood selection etc.

I used to hate the looks as well. Now I have bought two within 2 years and sold 2 other guitars for them. The concept just wins you over and makes you love the design, over time. Even the looks. You start to feel like "yeah, finally a really modern guitar". But it's already becoming classic. I still want one with a Ibanez Wizard-style neck. Probably will have to do that myself once I have the money to buy the tools and material. I have been even thinking about butchering my USA PRS Custom24 to become headless. But I guess I should try it out on a cheaper guitar first :D

you know how good guitars look on guys like Vai or Mayer or someone of their stature., well for us guys and gals in the 5'6-5'8 range this is very appealing because the overall guitar size (not just the length) matches our guitar:stature proportionally well. can't wait to get me hands on one.

As someone who has this exact guitar and plays metal, it doesn't chug. Love the weight, feel of the neck but the OEM pickups are clear but super weak. Replaced mine with SD:BW and swapped the 5 way switch for a 3 way switch. Best decision. Also, if you need a guitar with a headstock and fancy body to impress guys at shows.. just come out. I'm sure they'll accept you. But if you want a great playing guitar and use it as a tool (ie like a guitar) You'll be happy with this one.

regarding the comment to play something harder at around 10:02. One mostly sees headless guitars in harder rock/metal Per Nilsson played with Meshuggah on his strandberg and most of their songs is somewhat at the harder side of rock music
@rickc21025 ай бұрын
I love everything about it, but I'll have the black finish. Strandberg and various aftermarket companies make wall mounts for this and other headless guitars. A company called Hercules makes floor stands that grip the neck and suspend the guitar like that.

This is how ridiculous two people ranting against the first Telecaster probably sounded back in 1948. But that's exactly why the electric guitar industry has been stuck in its first years of evolution for so long. Because people buying instruments always do it with the goal of feeling like they're emulating someone else or be part of something they're actually not, instead of caring about playing in the best way possible, which is what this guitar design had in mind since the beginning. I'm sorry but this attitude is quite pathetic and this channel is really lame.

The pickups in strandberg guitars suck. They make everything you play sound like you're playing through an orange guitar head with the bass cranked. You think that would sound good but it doesn't. I immediately have to adjust my tone settings after plugging in one of these things. The sweet spot on your amp is no longer the sweet spot with this guitar.

Once you play one for a while and get used to it a traditional guitar feels really big, cumbersome and unnecessarily large. Don't get me wrong, I still love traditional guitars with headstocks, and no offence, but putting a decorative headstock on a headless guitar is the stupidest idea I've heard for a while.
