Tip that i found very usefull to learn songs on piano better and memorize it a lot easier : break the song up on segments, learn segment by segment, then practice multiple segments together and move on to another segment once you learned the previous segments. At least this helped me, hope it will help others aswell.

@@devoidmemoir3445 the next step in memorising the song is to "brute force" basically play every key as fast as possible. I've been going about 3 weeks and I can play the melody of every song I can think of. Now I'm going to learn basic chords and scales then go back over the easy songs to memorise

Practice R hand only, L hand only, and then join them together. Oh and don’t use this tutorial, get the sheet music; no one learns piano via rock band

nothing is easy when you're a beginner. keep practicing! it might take a while, but you do get there eventually. once upon a time i had to slow stuff down to .25x speed and could only play with one hand. now i find myself speeding up these tutorials and playing them two handed. before long, you wonder how you struggled so much!

Why am I watching rock band? I am classically trained in the Suzuki method and learn by ear but this is ridiculous. No indication of what key it’s in, the BPM for a metronome, suggested finger positions. This is a garbage tutorial. I taught myself this song by listening to it and watching the actual musician instead of this rock band trash Edit: also maybe show actual hand placement on the keyboard, it’s not whatever fingers you feel like using. And maybe, I don’t know, TIME INDICATION
