To everyone on here criticizing his choice of the Bible, tread carefully. This man speaks highly of God and Jesus. He spreads the gospel. We are only human. God is greater than anything. Instead of disagreeing with his choice, agree with the fact that all of the believers must share the gospel. That's what he is doing. This is not an argument. It's just food for thought.

The English translations of the Bible that came before the King James Version, are they good Bible translations? The Geneva Bible, which came to America on the Mayflower? The Wycliffe Bible, the first Bible translation into English? Tyndale's translation, the first Bible translated into English from the original languages? The Great Bible, commissioned by King Henry VIII? These Bibles came before the KJV. Are they not worthy of some consideration?

Careful Phil. You are entering the KJV only world. They don’t like their worldview challenged. The fact they use the same tired and DISPROVEN arguments ad nauseum, shows just how shaky their foundation for belief in one, and only one, translation is.

Answer this then why does the NKJV in certain verses contradict the KJV?
@sheena32 жыл бұрын
@@dwashington1333 you never knew ? That king james actually took from previous translations and ADDED to their translation. So when other scholars hundreds of years later saw the original Greek texts and noticed there wasn’t any added scriptures they removed them from all other translations. Now everyone is confused and angry. Sorry but we have way more technology now I’d trust now then 1611. You should really do translation study.

Ye, Yea, thee & thou, there are reasons for those words to remain in a Holy Bible. They explain John 3:7 Jesus said "marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again". Marvel not that I said unto thee, singular speaking to Nicodemus. Ye, plural meaning all people must be born again.

John 7:8 kjv Jesus said "I am not going yet" other Bibles say Jesus said I am not going. They make our Holy Holy God sound like a Liar. We loose faith in that kind of little g god. Our God is believable all the time, He is able to do all things we would think impossble. He certainly does not need to lie.

The KJV is the best version of the Bible. All scripture is given by inspiration of God The KJV is the most accurate English translation because it's as it was written originally in Hebrew. You don't want to mess with the translation too much to where something means something different than the original because as stated in Rev. 22:19 And of any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of Life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

James, you do understand that the King James version was translated by the church of England? A church that believed in infant baptism, praying to dead saints, church membership for salvation, and not a hint of eternal security. Also, the King James version you now hold in your hands is not the 1611, it's the 5th revision done in 1789.

Find “hell” in the original languages. You will find sheol, hades, gehenna, and tartarus (one time). Hel was the Teutonic goddess of the underworld, just like you complain Hades was the Greek god of the underworld. Hell has become a perfectly good SUBSTITUTION for the original when used as a place of punishment. Tell me. Is hell forever? What is the lake of fire? Is the lake of fire hell?
