"...you'll break their hearts and you won't even know it." This is so true for most people who have a serious addiction whether it is to heroin, cocaine, or alcohol. They will crush the very same people that they say are the most important people in their lives. They will do it again and again, so oblivious to their own actions that they don't feel even a tinge of remorse.

@4x12 I don`t mind people really thinking before they answer, i do it too, but Phil can go offpoint quite often and for too long, he`ll talk about one thing and slip into another, and he`ll take forever to get back to the first thing. Oh well, i love Phil Anselmo, absolute honesty.

If anything, I wish the interviewer was a Pantera fan so that we could get more of a real basis about the break up. During VH1's behind the music, it is said that Dime and Vince DID try to contact Phil about getting Pantera back together

it looks like Phil's on the edge of breaking down with every word he says. at certain parts more than others i guess. the mention of Pantera made that really hard for him to speak, i could tell. i get like that a lot too. i mean i know Phil talks slowly and deliberately all the time, in this, it seems a lot more than normal. really is wearing his emotions on his sleeve, as he said.

I think a great Pantera reunion show would be a reconciled Vinnie and Phil, Rex, and all of Dime's heroes and influences on guitar. Meaning a different guitarist comin out for every song. Would be very interesting to see Ace Frehley and Edward VH doing Pantera songs. Don't think that'll happen but still would be cool.

There were interviews with alot of magazines during the time Pantera was breaking up where the editors put words in Phil's mouth and said he wanted to "hurt" Dimebag and Vinnie and what not that he never did say. The media always has a way of making things worse than they are. Phil does admit he was like a wounded animal when they were breaking up taking responsibility for being caught in the drugs and not responding to Dime and Vinnie when he should have.

specialkz79 I believe he made the lantern analogy up on the spot and the point he's making in this part is about the will to continue your life and digging deep inside yourself and believe in yourself and the love of others is worth living for. Also on top of being a heroin addict he was on pain killers half his life, so have some respect please.

you have a head to think for yourself - the man only shares his personal experience - you can do some comparisons with your own, or some analogies - it's comunication straight forward, pure and sincere. If you are nomore able to discerne things and make it all a creemy fog congrats - ure just another of societies beloved children, not an individual with personality - like Phil would represent.
