Phil’s race rants were typically about how much he despised hip hop music and how he perceived the message to be anti-white. It strikes me as odd that the only people who have ever cried out in offense against him were white people.

Phil's a complex dude and I think in the past he's just said knee jerk reaction things. I think the Hitler salute thing was him saying why he did it...to give a reaction to what people were screaming at him thst night. I've seen multiple videos of him with black people and then having meaningful convos and he had nothing but respect and love. I've read an interview between him and 50 cent where he interviewed 50 cent for a boxing magazine. I think if he truly hates black people he wouldn't associate with them period. That's just my opinion.

Phil is a damn good man. He's always been tough and outspoken, but he is no racist. He is all about honor and respect. I live my life with a similar anticipation. I treat all people with honor and respect and simply expect the same in return. Sadly, there is very little of either quality in the world in our modern day... Bring back pride in all classes of person and every race... Expect the same honor and respect from all manor of human being. Treat all people equally, based on individual character and collective morality, or call out the lack thereof, when no respectable traits of humanity are detectable... It's time to rise up together and unite under the will of decency and humility...

As someone who is a mixed-race black individual who listens to Pantera, I don't believe that Phil is a racist. Sure, he said some very ignorant shit back then, but to me, like in my personal opinion, if someone has regretted their past mistakes, like his for example, then yeah, I believe they are worthy of change. And I don't think he's a racist. Besides, people should realize is that people can redeem themselves. You know, like redemption and change but that's something that these cancel culture weirdos don't even get. I mean, there's plenty of bigoted artists out there like Burzum and Kanye, who pretty much have advocated for Neo-Nazism, but sure, let's judge people for listening to said problematic artist for no reason. So, yeah, I don't think Phil Anselmo is a racist. He just said some stupid shit in the past that he knows was not good and at end, people say stupid shit that can bite someone in the ass abd thats where redemption and regret comes in.

The reality is this, every person in the world has racism in them that has shown itself in their brain at some point of their life. Even if it was just a negative thought that lasted for 3 seconds. And maybe that person is only truly 1 percent racist. In other words that person would say they are not racist and they love all people and sincerely mean it But at some point in that individual’s life they saw a person of different color, or different beliefs, or someone who had a different religion weather it he Christian, Muslim etc or maybe it was by the way the persons appearance looked, or maybe it was because the way the person talked. There’s soooooo many things to look at, weather it was a Chinese person, a Japanese person or an Arab etc. You get the point. Or maybe it was a blacks person against a white person or a Jew against a Christian. I am just saying I think racism has existed in all of us at some point in our lives, but I think the majority of us maybe recognize it at some point and then compressed it and felt bad for it and then we grew and our hearts changed. I think overall that 90 - 95 percent of people love everyone of different cultures and colors and beliefs. And the people who deserve the actual title as RACIST is a minority of people in every country that are just set in their ways. And the only way to deal with it isn’t by force, or shamming someone, but instead trying to represent your race the best u can by always being nice and loving to everyone so that when that racist person comes across you and has a great experience that it could change the way they feel in their heart
