Can see why Phil had a brilliant tackle journey I am sure he pioneered the free dvds that were the easy way to introduce anglers to the sweet shop of tackle. Maver must miss Phil. Totally agree that sponsored anglers should really have a duty to help upcoming and interested anglers. Even though I have fished since a youngster I still have a thirst to improve and develop my skills and the angler that goes out of the way to help has massive respect from me for sure. Thanks Tom great interview

Phil has always spoke the truth, a very honest guy, which in this day and age is hard to find in the fishing industry, sadly. I remember reading when Phil Started Maver in the UK via Match Fishing magazine when I was living in Germany. Reading about all the great poles that were being produced, but not available in Germany at the time.

Yes it may be good fishery but like a lot through the the country it is over stocked insane waits over 200 pound lot of these are double figure carp put into a keep net for up to over 5 hours I no you have to use at least 5 keep nets no matter how good Phil Briscoe is at looking after his fishery there will be trouble ahead unless he nets his fishery and removes a lot of the double figure carp in his complex

Few in the comments will give a different view on the super lithium, which did considerable damage to the maver brand who didn't stand by their warranty.
