This man loves playing guitar. He loves music. It's amazing. I feel like he's one of the few rock stars that got lucky in the sense that he gets to do what he loves for a living which not many people can say. The spiritual part he spoke of is incredible. Best interview on the web. Period.

I've been watching Phil Collen speak on any number of things for a solid 30 years now. Never once has he ever come off as anyone but the coolest guy ever.

That was an amazing interview with Phil Collin. And he was 1 of my guitar heroes that got me playing my guitar for 15 years. And I gradually playing my own vibe and songs on my guitar. And I can tell Phil has alot of passion for music. And hopefully That I get to see him and the rest of the men from Def Leppard some day this year or next year.

This is a really first rate interview! Thanks for posting it! I really hope you do many more of these "Brotherhood of The Guitar" interviews and continue to speak so candidly about the realities of making music for a living (both the pros and con's), the joys of making music, recording tricks, techniques, personal experiences, and so on. This was one of the best interviews I've seen to date. Thanks again Phil!

Thanks Phil I'm so glad to hear what was on your heart re Steve Clark. You cared and tried to be there for him. sad I it happened the same way it seemed with James Honeyman Scott. Another great player that was lost in that fog of emptiness. thank you for caring and trying your best to keep your Freind alive.I remember speaking to you a bit about that great band you were in called Girl. It's was at a Starbucks. How Cooll Thanks for taking the time to talk that day

It's refreshing to have an Idol, icon, someone to look up to who speaks the truth. I play covers for a living and love it, i don't drink or do drugs and i play for the love of music and the guitar. This year marks 25years of me playing (learning) guitar and 14years playing in covers bands and it was Def Leppard and Phil and Steve who I aspired to play like as well as Pete and Viv because without one we wouldn't have the others. Phil was always my musical inspiration and Rick Allen was my life inspiration. \m/

Phil is by far one of my favorite guitar players of all time but he does need to get some sun! Go enjoy that SoCal weather!

The sun is probably not good for him, given his complexion.

Alchohol and drugs really are the RUST of life. You really will function way better without it.
