I love how Phil is watching Nic play. He has to be so proud of him.

Think he told Genesis if he tour with them again, they gotta accept his son as the drummer since he can't hold drumsticks anymore due to his health.

For me, this was one of the highlights of the tour when I saw Phil in Boston 2018. The way he stood and watched Nick play. My daughter leaned in to me and stated, "no pressure there, huh?" LOL Also LOVED the crowd cheering for Phil when he began to play. So much love in that stadium.

Wow, this was awesome! Reminds of the "Then There Were Three" concert in 1978 at Wings Stadium in Kalamazoo with Phil and Chester Thompson both drumming on "Burning Rope". The sound filled the auditorium from the floors to the rafters. It was one of my most memorable concert experiences! I saw Genesis again at the Rosemont Horizon in Chicago during the "Invisible Touch" tour. For me, the most mesmerizing to watch are the drummers. They've also got to be the most physically fit as well. Drummers are always busy, both hands, both feet, dexterity and timing. Thanks for sharing this! :)

I was at this show. Having seen Genesis 9 times since 1981, and remembering Phil’s on stage energy and enthusiasm, it was heart-wrenching to see him brought out there.

So what if he's not the same? Who says Nic is expected to be the same as Phil? In fact it would be very boring if he was. Besides his dad taught him all the tricks of the trade. It's just up to Nic to use them and play as he likes.
