Brother Phil , Jase ,and Al on the Saturday before Easter I was put in hospital and the following Thursday I had all but 3 percent of my colon taken out and then they found a tumor on my pancreas and cancer in my liver. I got baptized under Martin's Mill Bridge in Greencastle P.A. by a Brothern pastor as kid. It was in the dead of winter with ice on the banks of the creek. I will never forget it. Dunked three times, so darn cold! When the feeling comes upon you, you just gotta do it no matter what. Give your life to God. That was over forty years ago. I am saved!

So much love and respect for y’all! I am getting closer! I love our Lord Jesus Christ but have a problem breaking away from a habit. I am the same age as Jase and can’t seem to be able to break it! Family tradition I think! My brother just turned 50 February 2021 and we lost him 3/15/21. He always said he would never live to be older than either of our parents but he did. Barely! Now being the only one left I can’t break the depression, bad habits or anything else. I wish I could talk to Al, Lisa, Miss Kay or anyone that would be willing! My husband and I have been to every Church around us since we moved back to the country and all are a hard no! What is wrong with me?

Mr Phill, I have been struggling with trusting in God. My life has been crazy recently, my best friend stoped talking to me, and now my close friend told me he was moving, and since he said that my life took a turn. I am pretty young (I am not allowed to say my age) but every since he said he was moving I started worrying about what if God is not real or why would he be letting bad things happen to me? What if I go to hell and never see my mom and dad again!? Phill I am scared. I am so scared. I have talked to my parents and they have talked to me and prayed with me and it helps, but I am still not sure if God is real. I want to believe but I don't know anymore. I feel like I worry to much, and I feel like no one can understand my situation. Can you pray for me? And do a podcast episode about knowing that God is real? And or how to keep a strong faith? I want to know God and learn to love him, but it can be so hard. I hope you see this. I need help. I love your podcast it has really helped me during my doubt. I do go to church but I still am not sure if God is real and if he loves me. Please, Mr Phill pray for me.

I am praying for you, too! God is very real but I do understand where you’re coming from. Trust me, all of us have been there at sometime. Keep talking to God. He knows what you feel and think. Ask him to give you understanding and wisdom. Read your Bible daily, even if it’s only a verse or two for you to concentrate on through the day. Read a verse or two from Psalms before you go to sleep, that will help you rest. Look for book Psalms 119. It is a great explanation of that chapter and will help you with faith and understanding. I love it. Don’t let satan distract you. I don’t know how many episodes you have seen of unashamed, if you haven’t started from episode 1, I suggest doing so and go through them all. In our lives if you think about an old couple who have loved faithfully, that looks to me like a wonderful way to finish our lives. You ask why God would let you experience such degradation in your life from family members. First, I am sorry for your experience. You have experienced the power of sin firsthand. You know the destruction it causes and that sin causes actual suffering, not fake suffering. You have firsthand knowledge that no sinner can refute and that is that sin is EVIL. No one can come to you and say, "sin is no big deal." You know firsthand that that is a lie. You now have a testimony that dashes the lies others tell themselves. You know sin destroys. That being said, God is also a God of healing. If you will give it to Him, He has the power to heal your trauma and to give you peace. He may decide to help you in prayer or help you through others (like mental health professionals) He knows the best course to healing for you.

Most churches ⛪️ I have been to have been reduced to club houses for married folks. If I were a woman with kids they would be tripping over there tongue to help. They have no idea what to do with a seventy one year old single man except encouraging them to go to the rescue mission. I’m not a drunkerd or drug habit yet I am supposed to go to the mission. You are not alone in this! Many of us aren’t accepted because we have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. And many famous men of God suffer depression as well, today and in the past; the evangelist Charles Spurgeon for one. Abraham Lincoln, as well. As I said, you are not alone and the Lord loves you so much that if you were the only one in the world He would have died for YOU. Pursue Him, always, and surround yourself with others. Well understand firstly that you (like me) have sin present in your life. Sin causes heartache and anger. It causes quarrels in families and even sets nations at war with each other. Here is where I differ with most Christians: Yeshua came with His message for a reason: If people obeyed His Words, they will find salvation. The Roman Catholics and Protestants will point to the cross and a human sacrifice for the sin of all mankind. I respectfully disagree! He was raised from the dead TO SHOW that His message was indeed true and correct. If you want sin forgiveness, then you must actively walk in His doctrine. Take it or leave it folks.

We live in a fallen sinful world. Gods love for us was displayed on the cross. That God took on flesh, lived a perfect life of obedience , died on the cross as an atonement for the sins of those who will believe and rose on the third day. This is how Gods love is displayed. Scripture is clear we will have pain and Duffy in this life but it is short lived in the light of eternity.
