Early in our marriage, I was upset/angry with my wife about something, so I just worked on projects and didn't interact with her much, if at all. Then I thought about Christ and the church as husband and bride, and how Jesus treats me, and I realized, if Jesus didn't interact with me whenever He was displeased by me, He would NEVER interact with me! We have to have that daily washing with the water of the Word, to keep our wicked hearts in check. Phil, Al, and Jase, great to hear your conversation along these lines!

As a young married guy it's so powerful to hear someone you look up to and admire their marriage, to hear him say I get it it's hard. Just that alone is so encouraging. Great biblical response from kingdom men on marriage!! It’s hard yes, but with God all things are possible!! God bless you men of God to keep speaking and preaching God’s truth on marriage!! I’m praying for my husband who was, is saved..praying for him and I to do kingdom work, standing in the gap together for marriage. We have been infiltrated over 3 times by the enemy and ourselves to where infidelity has been on both sides, however the chord hasn’t been easily broken and we are yet holding on to the bond of marriage! I’m trusting God to do what He has already ordained for our marriage!! Great podcast gentleman!! I’ve been blessed as a married woman!!

So fitting after a particularly bad blow up yesterday w the spouse after church ofc...Loved Jase's points about getting 'tempted' right after a 'declaration' and also not putting on airs for people...Seems I definitely have no problem there *now* lol but we still need prayer! Its very hard especially when you both just seem so blind to eachs weaknesses even after years of trying to walk w the Lord

Paul said that the Sabbath was a shadow of something to come. He also said there remains Sabbath rest. Paul also said the Gentiles are brought nigh by their faith in God to Israel and the covenants of promise of which the Sabbath is one such covenant. The writer of the Hebrews uses the example of people going out on the Sabbath to gather manna. They did not believe nor love God when he said there would be no manna given on Sabbath, but a double portion would be given on the 6th day of the week. There is no command to keep the first day of the week/Sunday as a memoriam for the resurrection of Jesus or as a replacement for Sabbath. People often say we are free to keep any day, but that ignores the issue of tradition. Freedom from the punishment for sin is death is different than tradtiion. Sunday is a tradition. But look at what Jesus said about tradition. Also, in the Law, Moses/God said to not add to the Law nor take away from the Law. Tradition adds to the law. Jesus established a Covenant where God would write law into the hearts and minds of believers. So if a person loves God, that person will keep his commandmants.
