Phil’s friend Jersey Joe has mastered the art of making blue-winged teal edible, and the guys are salivating over the recipe. Jase casts some doubts on claims made in the duck blind this season, so he puts on his super sleuth hat to find out who did what. The guys delve into the story of not one, but two prodigal sons. Plus, when we spend time with people, does that mean we endorse their bad habits or sinful lifestyles?

My grandma used to cook blue-winged teal. They weren't great but they were entirely edible. She would stuff the body cavity with citrus fruit and bake them. She claimed the citrus takes away the "gamey" or swampy taste. I have tried it her way and gotten similar results. I use oranges, grapefruit and lemons...cut into 1" cubes and mixed together, including the rind. In fact, I use that on all my baked ducks.

Most Italians say red sauce instead of gravy, and meatballs are great no matter what kind of meat you use, just add some bread crumbs, eggs, beef, and pork , some people add onions some don't, my Dad would serve quail with pasta and red sauce, and fried potatoes and peppers and fresh baked bread, guys you have the best podcast on KZbin, God Bless you and keep you safe, pray for Israel and our Jewish brothers and sisters

Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. 2Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. 3For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. 4Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest. 5Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. 6Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. 7Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

I think the point has been missed with the eldest son. He isn’t entitled he is upset as what he feels to be a lack of recognition of the father’s love. He never had a calf given to him which to him would have spoken of recognition of faithfulness and love that the father could have given him. In the father’s response he calls him to a higher recognition of the younger son’s recovery from death to life.

Thank you for a great Bible study. While Jase was reading the story of the prodigal son, it hit with the contrast of the followers of Christ at the time and the Jews. The new christians being seen as the prodigal son and the older son being seen as the Jews. The older son keep the traditions of the family but was jealous of the grace given by the father. The father seen as a representative for Jesus. It mirrors what the history of the time. They are missing the grace of God. Thank you for the podcast.

God hates the word proud as he made clear numerous times in the word. We have over used word proud to the point that it is senseless. For example instead say I have been blessed with wonderful children, I am so blessed to have you in my life. To be proud, boastful of your possessions and your prideful of your accomplishments is a sin of itself, for everything you are, have accomplished and will be is in the hands of the Lord. God Bless y’all keep on standing up for our Lord.

As the mom of a prodigal I love to hear about this parable. Re-confirming the fact that Jesus goes after us gives me joy in my heart. I have peace knowing that he hears my prayers for her and that he will come for her... I have hope in the waiting.

When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

There is No One Righteous (Psalm 14:1-7) 9What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; 10As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. 12They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. 13Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: 14Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: 15Their feet are swift to shed blood: 16Destruction and misery are in their ways: 17And the way of peace have they not known: 18There is no fear of God before their eyes. 19Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. 20Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

I see my comment is no longer in the feed. I’m only asking for an explanation of how our language was displaced during the “tower of babel” from a scientific and cultural viewpoint that can be explained outside of the Bible? I respect your views, but I would like some corroborating evidence to make the Bible’s clap more concrete!
