Phil's speaking voice is so soft and he tells a good story. On this clip as with many others he said that 'Don and I wrote that song' Cathy's Clown. I hope Phil rightfully gets his name back on the BMI list. So good to hear him sing 'Last Thing on my Mind' without him being upset. This David Frost audio has been around for a while, wouldn't it be great if the TV station released the show?

Chris, I have always wondered why they haven't released TV shows like this, and the whole series of "Johnny Cash presents the Everly Brothers" That would be awesome 🙂

The rights to Cathy's Clown were awarded by a court to Don last year.

@@padraiggillon There is an appeal going ahead and the right thing should be seen to be done. It was co-written by the Everly Brothers.

@@chrisrushforth710 Doesn't matter. The appeal will be heard by the same judge who was very clear (at least three times now!) that Phil's estate was time barred from trying to change what Phil did in signing away the song in 1980. They are wasting their time. Don's twin wives will get all of Cathy's Clown residuals.

As far as I know Phil gets no credit for the song Cathy’s clown he turned over his rights to don who sued him 😰

Phil talks about his son Jason who just celebrated his 55th birthday, born in 1966. His voice was so sweet and angelic. He was born to sing those wonderful harmonies along with Don. Now they both sing with the angels. Those angels are blessed.

Four hubcaps to a Packard!! I love it!! When I was 17 (in the 60s) I drove a 1938 Oldsmobile that was big enough to live inside of. At 5 feet tall and 98 pounds it was quite a sight! This was a fantastic find, thank you so much for sharing! 🎼🖤
