I was once told that the gears on a fixie should be prime to each other to avoid uneven wear. Instead of 48/16, perhaps it should be 48/15.

What do you mean by «uneven wear»? Skid marks for skidding?

@@geg_otmopo3 When skidding to a stop, the rider's feet are typically always in a specific position. If the gears are not prime to each other, the skids will always occur on the tires in specific positions.

That is sick. It is my favorite place to train except i hate the moron drivers trying to show of how fast they can get to the top. That is a blistering fast time. The KOM will likely stay for a very long time. I am betting you were pushing 800 to 1000W at the top. That is more then 9% grade.
