Phil gets on his soapbox about a certain technology overtaking today’s youth as Jase attempts to point out the pros rather than the cons. Phil gets a new landline from an unlikely source, and the guys issue a stern warning to parents about cell phone use for themselves and their kids. The guys discuss how to approach the Kingdom with a childlike mindset, full of trust and wonder.

I agree with Phil. The cellphone with internet access is from the devil. Unfortunately, it’s snatching our youth’s hearts and minds if parents aren’t on top of it.

But not every young person. Many are responsible adults who have phones. My 30 year old son included who got his first phone at age 11. Not for school. I homeschooled him. It was so he could call his cousins. Sometimes what you see in the media is only about a small percentage of the population. HABD.

I am a 64 year old woman and I’m with Phil! My grandkids are addicted to their tablets, they are not monitored. Their dependence on them is shocking! There is absolutely nothing they will put them down for! They are five and seven year old boys. We took them to Walt Disney World last year. They are both small for their age and were able to ride in a stroller, which was a relief to me that they couldn’t run off and get lost. I could have been knocked over by a feather when at WDW they had their parents cell phones in their hands for entertainment at WDW between attractions! Image Phil’s expression, volume as he said W.D.W! They take the tablets with them to pee, yes they know there is a pause feature but they can’t stand the wait! It kills me and it all started with video games, nothing in the world is more important than the video games and watching people play the video games! I’ll join Phil’s March in DC if he’ll push my wheelchair! Love y’all! Mary B.

Hello. I have a land line. My family made me get a cell phone that I keep in my purse for emergencies only. I live in Central New York. Cell phones like any new technology need to be purchased and used with wisdom and meet a real need. God is good to give us many options in our world today. And He is to be praised for helping us weed through today's world. Blessings to all of you with great thanks for loving God and talking over His Word. It is very much appreciated.

Unfortunately when you realize it’s a problem it’s too late. 😢 Holy Spirit moved me one night to go into my daughter’s room. She looked asleep so I took her iPad. When I looked at what she was looking at I felt sick to my stomach. Took away all electronics for 2 years. She ended up thanking me years later. But she’s addicted again to it. But making better choices about what she watches.

I’m with Phil life was a lot simpler when you didn’t know everybody’s business and you didn’t have to see all this vulgarity. Granted, if you’re stuck somewhere in your car, you need a cell phone to call somebody, but we’ve taken it way past that it has consumed us as a society and that’s not good in my opinion

I'm with Phil on the cellphone. However, I have a cellphone, no land-line anymore. It's also my way of having internet, watch this podcast, and others like it. I think for kids their cellphones should be simple flip phones, no internet access, and have only a very few numbers the phone will dial, parents, grandparents, maybe another trusted adult in the family, and 911. Then the phones would be available to the children when they need something. I recall very well the teenage years. Mom and dad were the most clueless people on earth as far as I was concerned. I was up to no good all the time. It was a constant clash between me and them. I couldn't figure how they were finding out what I'd been doing, but they did, and they would confront me, and convict me. Still I was very fortunate to have been raised up in the church as well as having my paternal grandparents close by. I found it easier to talk with them and receive guidance without the conflict I felt with my parents. Now in my retirement years I'm so thankful for being raised up right. It gave me the foundation to return to. Mom is 83 now and every once in a while she'll ask me about something from my teenage years that I thought I'd outsmarted them and gotten away with, and it still feels like I just got caught red handed. Now we can just laugh about it. What I didn't know back then was my parents were well connected through a network of family and friends with kids of their own reporting with each other what they discovered we were up to. That strong nuclear family support system is very lacking in today's society, and it's needed now more than ever.

When I was a kid we got our first phone when we moved to Florida and that was because my mama wouldn’t move from NC unless dad agreed to it. The best part though was when dad put a 3 min sand timer beside it and the rule was flip it over at the start of the conversation and you better be off of it when the sand ran out and we didn’t cheat. I've been looking at your pcast for a month or so and always get a kick in the face at reality of the scripture you men portray as it relates to the family. At 53 I wasn't blessed with the ability to have kids or marry but have always been fascinated with the make and function of how a family ot to be like under the blood. You can laugh at Mr. Phil but I guarantee there are thousands out there hearing, agreeing and making changes in there own households because of the fantastic job he's done with the responsibility he's been given with this Robertson clan. Love it, I hear you Phil on the telephone. Cell phones can be good but people tend to want to text and not actually talk to you, with the telephone they have to call you there's no texting, we can communicate like we were supposed to communicate, if you can't do it in person, 😊 but each to their own.

Another great podcast. Phil was hilarious! God bless the Robertson's, such a great example of how to live by faith and God's love. The Blind movie is awesome. Shows people they should never give up. I'm sure Phil is so proud of his sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Just a beautiful family.

I agree with Phil. I am a 70 year old lady who wishes I still had a land line in the dining room. I always knew where the phone was. If I called someone and got the busy signal, I called back and vice versa. Answering machines were okay, but the beginning of the loss of simplicity. My first cell was for senior aged people, very simple. That became obsolete. Now I have the cell with more features than I know what to do with, have to take with me everywhere, drop it, lose it, recharge it. Old way simpler.

You know the Lord planning and timing is the best... All of them having this topic on the cell phone and children. You see the hand of the Lord all on this podcast that lead Jase to talk about parenting his children and monitoring their cell phone. He through that was able to win parents and children to the Kingdom

I miss the old school telephone. I have several ma bell phones in house, wished they worked! Bravo Phil! The cell phone is great when you are traveling, or outside in the yard, or getting to hear & see Unashamed!!
