I don't understand how you can give Curry top 3 upper body of all time with that back. There are plenty who never won a O who have better upper bodies. He has really good arms, chest and shape, but his detail isn't good and his back is average. There's also a ton of oil in his biceps they don't look hard at all even when flexed.

I think biggest problem with Phil in his later years was not only his hernia. But he was being more cocky thinking he could prep himself and stopped training with hani, he wasn’t pushing hard enough and clearly he lost a lot of fullness he used to have. If he managed to come in full, I think he would still have won his 8th. But it’s combination of lacking fullness and his gut that costed him

No, you lose fullness with age, look at Ramy, look at Victor Martinez, Dexter Jackson... Bodybuilding ages you dramatically. If he didn't have the hernia the fullness that he's lost throughout the years wouldn't be as apparent. He beat Sean Rhoden muscle per muscle, look at the competition again he looked good minus the mid section

I'm not a fan of Phil, but prior to the bubble gut i would say he possessed the most balanced aesthetic physique in Olympia history, the perfect X frame. Personally i prefer the guys with Freaky bodyparts like Yates with his back and calves, Roly with his triceps, Platz lower body etc etc. I still like the Haney, DeMey era best though.

Curry gets too much hate . He looked great . Yes weak calves and hams and quad sweep . But he blasted his legs as hard as he could and his adductors became tremendous . Which slightly helped his leg look to front and side. His upper body was phenomenal
