@Clive Nyathi I can turn this around and say, I was just using Arnold to make a point about people who always have to talk shit about Phil's "personality". You didn't have to reply to his positive comment about Phil with that false bullshit. Shawn talked how some of his poses are trash and Phil replied with that comment. Nothing wrong about a man standing up for himself.

What a huge lesson phil is giving me here. Not that i hated him, but no my favorite Mr O. However, these 30 minutes of him speaking, changed my mind completely about the sacrifices, his value as a person and not just a BB product and that introspection about how he was relieved about getting second place. Wow, I'm gonna use it for my personal life. Thank You, Phil Heath!

@maxpower1717
@maxpower1717 5 жыл бұрын
elektronac !!! I respect what it takes to win 1 Mr Olympia title let alone 7. Nothing to do with his personality & or interview. Drugs come with the sport. That's their decisions & bodies. These men are inspirations to my lifting not yard sticks. If the title came in a bottle or a needle. There would be 54 Mr.Os not 14.
@maxpower1717

elektronac !!! Genetics is the key. They all do the gear. Some respond better than others. But you must have the right structure. & I agree it's what their looking for as well as politics. I was @ 79 Mr.O Super inspirational. Put me on path of lifting (but not steroids) The volumizing/sight injection drugs of today have ruined the look for me. But I still follow the sport & appreciate the incredible efforts it takes to get to that stage.👍

Max Power that's so true. Bodybuilding was good when everyone liked or followed their favorite bodybuilder and their training programs. Then Generation Iron came in with a WWE style approach creating faces and heels in the sport which gave rise to unnecessary hating on one of the all-time-greats, Phil Heath. Love or Hate no one can debate, he will always be great!

@bigfletch8

@@Idiotsincarshere He is either e very good actor, or was suffering from much ignored psychological symptoms as a result of excessive hormone mixes and extreme dietary deprivation. Many decent competitors have said what horrible people they become around their wives and girlfriends when in such a state. Roid rage, although it doesnt effect every one, is sure does occur as some level with most. Not many had much time for Arnold in his earlier days either..well documented by Mike Mentzer and others.

Phil seems more humble now. Did Jay really get pissed off that Phil won more Mr.O's? I think Jay got turned off how Phil acted and real fans know this.

wrath646 I don’t think so I read in flex were jay said he thinks Phil can go for 10 cuz of his age. He knew he would pass him. Plus not to take anything away from who’s on stage now but jay had to go toe to toe with Ronnie that’s tough

Well dang that was incredible speech. I was about a builder I placed third in the Mr Atlanta 1981 I was only 20 I won best chest. I trained for four years. That was my last contest it was a fleeting time for me but so incredibly enjoyable. I kept working out but not for bodybuilding I still do at 59. But I have a new respect for Phill. Incredibly articulate. He should write a book it will do very well. Someone should do a documentary of his life. One day after his 10th Mr Olympia.
