It is hard sometimes or anytime. Young and tremendously talented. I still remember. I was determined for him, that he will be the part of 2014 test squad vs the Indian's because the news was. Clarke is injured and he'll come into his place. My first ever Aussie player. Thank you Hughesy to inspire us.

Since my days in class 6 or 7, I have been an avid follower of test cricket. I remember that fateful day clearly ! I was in class 8. I returned from school and got to know that Hughes had already breathed his last ! I was in utter shock 🙇.

RIP Phil. Whilst I'm not a sentimental type and don't care much much about the 63NO and the 408 I do believe the cricketing world didn't do enough about his death. It's just sad that a young 25yo had to lose his life for the game he loved. It just feels like the sport hasn't done enough to combat similar things happening. Just imagine if the Steve Smith hit was worse than what it was. This tribute gets the first hand view of the people who knew him personally and it really hits home that no one else, whether it be at the international, domestic or club level, should die for this game.
