10 years ago I used to watch Phil on KZbin. He was the only person that could play those Jerry Reed tunes, no one else even came close. Good to see he's still pickin. He was good back then but now he's really nailed down the fine details.

Richard Smith is the best thumb picker in Nashville right now. Phil is good, but not the level of Richard. Mind you Richard is also CGP. !!!

Richard is definitely one of the best in the world, but he was never given the title of CGP. Phil is fantastic too for sure!!
