I'm not a musician but here is a list of things I think I heard in this solo. 😊 1. djenty space tapping & ambient stuff 2. Classic Disney forest background music 3. A whole Orchestra without the percussion 4. Outstanding use of delay 5. Some neo classical stuff 6. Amazing grace on bagpipes

Mentioned the ebow to our lead singer to remedy some synth sounds he wanted me to try and reproduce for the record. I've been playing about 25 years, but never used an ebow. Started doing some research this video included, and I think I'm gonna order one. This sounds, or at least the way Phil plays it to be the answer to our delimma. Awesome sounds. Worth looking deeper into.

@nilo260578 No, it vibrates the strings using a magnetic field, to varying intensities, depending on how close you get it to the string. So, it can do infinite sustain, as well as some very unique attack sounds when he actually strikes the string with it. Watch how he moves it not only closer/farther from the strings, but also closer/farther from the pickup. His expressiveness with this device is nothing short of amazing.

This is really awesome. Before this, I'd only ever heard an e-bow used to sustain notes and make for this really smooth legato sound. I was surprised to hear the guitar make this violin-esque sound, but then I put two and two together and realized an e-bow is a reference to the kind of bow a violin uses. I wish I'd heard it being used in this way before. It's become much more appealing to me just within this video.
