Wow!! He is a fantastic organist! No music, all from memory. And he was having fun, too!! What a showman, too! Such happy music. Love it! And that organ console is beautiful -- the prettiest one I have ever seen!

Standard Wurlitzer french style console. There are quite a few in the UK. There are three in Blackpool - Tower, Opera House, Empress Ballroom (original console).

Another superb helping of PK-MBE doing what he does best; providing a spot-on soundtrack for Ballroom dancers the world over, and entertainment and inspiration for us music lovers and organ players/fans. Thanks again Blackpool35, picture and sound absolutely bang-on!

I just love hearing Phil at the Tower Ballroom Wurlitzer and this video shows the splendour of the xylophone and piano so well. Do Rai Me is lovely, I just adore the last part with the xylophone usage.

Anyone know where Phil Kelsalls 12st Rag has gone to. Cant find it anywhere ????
@Echochamber7910 жыл бұрын
I was thinking that too? a few clips were deleted i think :-(
@steinwaygrande397110 жыл бұрын
I saw where it said it had been deleted. That really annoyed me as its great showing friends who are organists, how brilliant he plays the 12st Rag. Wonder why it was taken off.

Steinwaygrande Odd, I found it on a secondary video site linking to you-tube, but it said it was made private :/ perhaps something to do with permission of use
@steinwaygrande397110 жыл бұрын
Yes , indeed it was removed due to some privacy terms. Pity, as it was great to watch him playing this on the Wurlitzer.

A stupid question, but is this a pipe organ like a church organ?
@OrganMusicYT6 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is a pipe organ, but the pipes are on a much higher pressure than those in a church organ. All the pipes are in two rooms (chambers) above the stage and the sound comes out through the plaster grill above the stage.

NO; its a full electronic transistor capitator organ witout reed pipers

He has this not so great ability to make every tune he plays involve a sound like a machine gun. He’s good but sounds irritatingly rushing to just getting the tunes thumped out.
@jacquelinebishop84657 жыл бұрын
Excellent organist , I wouldn't say the best player in the world though but still Blackpool Towers number 1 ( not really much competition though :-) ) Prefer his earlier days .Now a days its all bloody glocks and pianos , hate it !
@alijanlondon13 жыл бұрын
Urrggh - that hideous midi piano and over-amplified percussion makes this organ sound like a cheap toy. Stop using the midi and get rid of the amplification, it's not needed anymore
