For what it's worth, thinlizzyguide.com lists this tracks credits as 1982, Lynott/Sykes, unreleased demo. www.thinlizzyguide.com/Songs/a_z/rare_songs.htm My thoughts: Too Lizzy for The Philip Lynotf Album, too mellow to go on Thunder & Lightning, to me this sounds like it could have been suitable as a B-side to Killer On The Loose, and it also seems to remind me of S&M from Black Rose. To sum up, it seems like Mr. Lynott wrote this song in a spare moment much earlier than 1982. Mr. Sykes played on it with Mr. Lynott and a drum machine as an experiment which was destined for the vaults. Who knows, maybe a completed take could have worked as a B-side to a single issue of Bad Habits or Baby Please Don't Go.

kzbin.info/www/bejne/aIqQpYZjrbpmpbM. listen to this version. Same song but still so different. I strongly believe this could replace this is the one from T&L. This song live would be absolutely crazy. Imagine this after like Jailbreak or Waiting for an alibi with the bass intro. Without any hesitation I would pick this over This is the one and on a good day bad habits.

Was this recorded during the "Please Dont Leave Me" sessions. Apparently there were a few demos recorded besides the single. This might be one of them

The main guitar riff and vocal effects are similar to the song Bad Habits from Thunder and Lightning. I'd agree this is a Phil/John Sykes demo.

Great point. And I love that song. In the top six Lizzie songs for me.

I wonder if this is a Grand Slam demo?

I don't think this is Brian Downey playing drums - sounds like a drum machine/program...Has none of Brian's characteristics! - until the triplets in the middle! (These could be programed too and if Phil did it then he'd be influenced by Brian's playing!)...

ofdoubtsandgod no, it is not Brian Downey. As you said a drum machine, just a demo.

This demo was worked on before Lynott and Sykes began the Thunder and Lightning sessions according to Alan Byrne in his book “Are You Ready?” Pg. 207.
