It seems to me that Moses and Elijah represented the law and prophets. God then says “This is My beloved Son, LISTEN TO HIM”. Its like a handoff of sorts.

@@UnworthySubject progress for who though? Your assumption is that all people need salvation. My interest in listening to other beliefs doesn’t mean I am missing something. I listen to their logic and reasoning and know they have found what they need. But not all need it. Beliefs are a powerful thing and are as numerous as the stars. We are individuals with many beliefs. I respect all that are non violent by nature. I can easily listen to others, hear them out. But rare few can do the same to me, I think that is because they believe all other beliefs are futile but their own. Sad.

Besides, he drank a lot. Had a potbelly and one time told me the only thing he wanted me to do was to tell the truth. The trouble was I also had a secret he didn't know about so his understanding of me was nil and far between. It was a governmental housing project in Houston to house mentally ill people like me who had either been paroled from real prison, veterans who had no place to live, or me, and I went there on my own. It was actually a prison for the criminally insane. At least that's what I heard on radio where the operator said I was going that morning. But, as it turned out, I had been hypnotized to break the law of Texas that could have put me away from 25 years to life had my doctor not admitted she was the ultimate culprit. Yeah, this guy used the word critters when he was referring to these mentally ill people he was in charge of watching over. He worked with Miss Dee and also gave her a contract with downtown restaurants to collect rice and sausage that was left over after the noon lunch rush. He was okay. His wife and son joined him and Miss Dee put him in a house. She had a number of houses in that neighborhood with government money non-profit status under the guise of religious faith-based organizations who would serve their communities to help and extend to help the community to be rid of drugs and alcohol. It was passed in congressional meetings just prior to this date. I was there from 1985 to 1997, approximately. There were many others who served in this capacity too. They were not permanent employees. But, a revolving door that would trouble me to no end.
