A huge price to pay. A huge lesson learned. We need to learn from each others mistakes. Brother Phil has been there done that and we need to receive the WISDOM from his life. Great Christian message! So much meat in it to chew on. I received a lot of instruction and knowledge from this and will apply it to my own "dreams, desires, talents and goals" as a Christian artist/graphic designer/"new" animator. Thanks for posting this! Love from Ontario Canada.

42:45 “if I’m so obsessed with my dream that I don’t have time for the girl bagging my groceries at the grocery store then I am not waking with Jesus” Damn. That hits hard. Thank you for being willing to let go of your dream to become an example, rather then a business man. Thank you for not letting your ego destroy your example.

This sounds like my experience after my third miscarriage. I had to give up the dream of a large biological family, and that has been okay. I actually remember listening to this two years ago, but wasn't in a place to share how much this helped.

Yeah! They could have a LarryBoy ride, a Pirates Who Don't Do Anything ride based on Pirates Of The Caribbean, a parody of It's A Small World called It's God's World After All featuring the Veggie Kids, a Minnesota Cuke ride, a Little Joe bull ride with dodge balls, a space-themed ride that plays I Can Be Your Friend and even the 3-2-1 Penguins! theme during the ride, a ride based on Larry's Lagoon with a singing Palmy animatronic and a car made of bamboo, a karaoke room where you could sing Silly Songs, and a snack room that serves cheeseburgers (and maybe milkshakes as well), chocolate bunnies, cheese curls and root beer, Pizza Angel pizza, moo shoo, Polish food, pies from the Pie War and slushies. And a little zoo with water buffalos, baby kangaroos, cebus (zebus), penguins, bear-trapped teddies, sheep, camels, whales, monkeys and apes. And a little store that sells hairbrushes, rubber duckies, VeggieTales plush toys and playsets, shirts, apparel, books, dishes, music CDs, DVDs and even VHS tapes as soveniers. And walk-around (or rather, bounce-around) mascot costumes people can take pictures with.

Yea, but the "moral" of the story is that you should be willing to kill your children if god says you should. There's a reason I put moral in quotes there.
@orchadetrm
@orchadetrm 3 жыл бұрын
@@stevenmerritt4960 that's true. But I think the whole point was God testing whether Abraham would follow his orders because Abraham doubted God many times about having a son and now God is testing whether he would sacrifice his only son(at the time).
@stevenmerritt4960
@stevenmerritt4960 3 жыл бұрын
@@orchadetrm It is glorifying a level of servility at which you'd be willing to sacrifice your own son. That's truly horrific. Frankly, Abraham failed a basic human decency test. I'm sorry, but a willingness to murder one's own son because you believe some deity said to do it isn't a sign that you have great moral principles. It's a sign you lack any moral principles at all. As with so many cases, the Bible has a REALLY bad message here. Honestly, I think you might actually be better off getting your morals from Harry Potter. I'm pretty sure no one has said gay people shouldn't have the right to marry based on a reading of Harry Potter.

@@stevenmerritt4960 it's however you view it man. And it's viewed in many different ways. Your interpretation isn't truly justified and for mine as well. It's best to read the full story before coming to conclusion.

@@stevenmerritt4960 that's actually not true. God had promised that Issac would be the son that God made a nation from. Which means Issac couldn't die. Or if he did, God would raise him from the dead (as the new testament explained Abraham believed was going to happen). So it was really about having faith that God would fulfill his promises
